The war between Gizelle Bryant and Katie Rost came to a head this week as the ladies tussled over an (innocent?) butt grab at Charrisse Jackson Jordan’s 50th birthday party. In true Housewives fashion, the argument quickly moved from its original topic to a totally different one: racial identification.
Accusations flew after Robyn Dixon posed her incendiary question about Michael Darby‘s dance floor moves: “Is that a white guy thing?”
Gizelle takes to her blog to discuss the argument, why she’s not obsessed with race, and how Katie is actually obsessed with HER! The Real Housewives of Potomac star explains her reaction to Michael’s behavior at Charrisse’s party: “As I was busting my famous two step, I never in a MILLION years thought I would be able to utter the words in my head, ‘Michael is Charmin toilet paper SQUEEZING Andrew’s butt on the dance floor.’ I said to myself, ‘Am I seeing what I think I’m seeing’…’No, say it ain’t so’… ‘Golly gee wilikers’…’Now ain’t this some nonsense.'”

When Gizelle and Robyn told Ashley Darby about her husband’s antics, they were met with more of a shoulder shrug than a hissy fit, though.
Gizelle admits this baffled her. “Typically when I tell one of my girlfriends that her husband is on the dance floor squeezing men’s butts (not that this has EVER happened before) the reaction is a little bit different. More along the lines of, ‘OH HEEELLLLL NO,’ there is a whole lot of hands flaring, neck rolling, fingers pointing while still screaming ‘OH HEEEELLLL NOOOOOOO.'”
“I NEVER thought that Ashley’s immediate response would be, ‘Oh, he was just joking.’ I just really, really, really wanted Ashley to understand that NO ONE was laughing.”

In what seemed like mere seconds, the topic of Michael’s drunken grab-ass suddenly shifted to an all-out personal attack between the ladies after Robyn asked her question. And Gizelle would like to remind us that it was indeed Robyn who asked the question, not her!
Gizelle defends, “I never asked Ashley and Katie if Michael squeezing Andrew’s butt was a ‘white thing’…that was Robyn’s question. However, Katie of course asks herself if Gizelle is obsessed with race because she’s obsessed with ME.”
Snarking that “Every other word out of Katie’s mouth is Gizelle. Gizelle, Gizelle, Gizelle,” she accuses in her blog, “I’m starting to think that not only is she obsessed with me, but Katie REALLY wants to take a big dip into MY lady pond. HA.”
After just 10 episodes, tonight is the season finale of Real Housewives of Potomac at 9 EST/ 8 CST. We won’t be live-Tweeting, but there will be plenty of snarking here in the comments!
