What is this? A certain Housewife making controversial statements right before their new season is about to begin? WELL I NEVER. If you have missed the melodic, harmonious tones of Candiace Dillard’s voice, hang tight because Real Housewives of Potomac is about to return. Fans will see the ladies recovering from losing a cast member after a brawl took place in a barn filled with wine and Candy submitted a verbal request to be dragged across the floor.
Candiace doesn’t mince words and she has thoughts on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne’s current legal battles. Despite evidence, a general lack of morality, and new information uncovered weekly, Candiace feels Erika has been unjustly maligned. Never one to read the room, Candiace recently took to Twitter to support Erika and blast those who side with the widows and orphans. Now viewers hope Candiace can see the error of her ways as clearly as she has seen the label on Mommy’s handbag.

Season 6 of Real Housewives of Potomac is set to debut on July 11, 2021. According to the trailer, it looks pretty entertaining. Last season of RHOP focused on the physical altercation between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels. On October 16, 2019, Candiace taunted Monique about dragging her. While cameras were rolling, Monique grabbed Candiace by her hair and yanked her down on a table.
Candiace filed a case against Monique for second-degree assault. Then, Monique filed a case against Candiace for the same thing, claiming that Candiace struck her in the face with a glass. Eventually, both the charges were dismissed by the court.
I’m still screaming from the rooftops about Bravo righting their wrongs with the majorly necessary casting changes to the Real Housewives of Orange County. Heather Dubrow is BACK and I can’t celebrate it enough. I’ll need my own champagne room like Charrisse Jackson-Jordan to make it through Season 16. Kelly
Fraud Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke are OUT and I’ve never seen so much communal rejoice from the Bravo community. They were both toxic and insufferable in their own ways, and both were begging for a return after a season full of bad behavior. Elizabeth Vargas also peaced out after one season and it’s still unclear if Tamra Judge will make a triumphant return.
Boringwyn has not been taking the news of her RHOC firing well. But is anyone surprised? No narcissist would really be happy that the cameras don’t want to follow them and their convoluted life around 24/7. It’s obvious she and Sean Burke have a lot to work out off-camera, particularly the rules around Braunwyn having girlfriends on the side. Kelly and Braunwyn truly brought RHOC down to the lowest level of inauthenticity and toxicity while claiming to be the stars of the show. But their long-awaited demise has come, and the OG Real Housewives show has prevailed (Vicki Gunvalson aside).
The Bravo gods have answered our (my) prayers — Heather Dubrow is returning to the Real Housewives of Orange County. The news of Fancy Pant’s long-awaited return comes along with some arguably even better news — Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke are OUT for good. No more Kelly Fraud’s nasty comments and total ignorance. Or Braunwyn’s over-the-top narcissism. Both ladies were eyeing for a return, but the fans have spoken. And Boringwin really uprooted her entire life as she knew it for a TV show that doesn’t want her back. What a shame. Oh, and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas is out after one season, but we hardly got to know her anyway.
The Fancy Pants news is just too much to bear. We’ll finally see the completed Dubrow family mansion. Terry Dubrow, despite duping fans about Heather’s return, will be back on our screens to provide plastic surgery advice and corny dad jokes. And this could lead to a potential Tamra Judge return, but no news has been announced yet. CHAMPS FOR EVERYONE, except maybe Shannon Beador.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans are gearing up to watch Erika Jayne’s divorce from Tom Girardi and her ongoing legal battle unfold on the small screen. After almost a year of news headlines and shocking allegations, Erika just revealed to her friends during last week’s episode that she filed for divorce from Tom just days after gushing about him in Lake Tahoe. It came at a suspicious time, when a mounting lawsuit against Tom, accusing him of embezzling settlement funds owed to clients. And it looked like Erika was doing whatever she could to protect her XXPen$ive assets to avoid getting dragged down with her 81-year-old husband. But maybe a cheating scandal really did coincidentally drop at the same time as the lawsuit. Would I bet on that? Definitely not. In this instance, I’m with Sutton Stracke.
Erika has proclaimed she’s innocent and ignorant of all Tom’s shady business, which includes stealing money in millions from orphans and families of victims who died in horrific accidents. But the evidence shows otherwise. And a new ABC documentary on Hulu dubbed The Housewife and the Hustler doesn’t help Erika’s case that she didn’t fund her fabulous lifestyle off the back of literal victims. No doubt the feds are recording that documentary to watch too.
Monique Samuel’s withdrawal from the Real Housewives of Potomac was marred by ill feelings and unresolved issues between Monique and the rest of the cast. Real Housewives come and go, but this departure was the dramatic conclusion of Monique pinning Candiace Dillard face down into a table by her hair. Some viewers expected Monique to be fired mid-season. Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Wendy Osefo made it clear that they wanted nothing to do with her, but Monique remained for the rest of the season even though her screen time was cut dramatically.
Maybe she wanted to participate in the reunion to share her side of the story. But after feeling slighted by her treatment there, Monique decided to quit. Perhaps, again, in an attempt to be able to speak freely. Unfortunately, Bravo is still allegedly controlling the narrative According to Monique, she was blacklisted by the network and that influence prevented her from doing any press since leaving RHOP.
Praise the Bravo gods — the Real Housewives of Potomac are returning to our TV screens in less than a month. And that means if you’re still somehow sleeping on Potomac, you have a handful of weeks to get caught up and stop looking like a clown. Following last year’s dark season, mainly due to the fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard, the ladies are ready to come back and bring the drama, as always. We know Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo will have quite the feud regarding side-baby rumors about Eddie Osefo. Grand Dame Karen Huger will be back to make outrageous one-liners and always trash Gizelle Bryant. And newbie (and Karen’s new sidekick) Mia Thornton gets into a food fight with Candeegal according to the trailer, which I just can’t wait to see.
Candiace has had her fair share of issues with ladies in the past, particularly Ashley Darby. The new mom-of-two set Candeegal off when she wrote a character statement as part of Moni’s trial. Even before the fight heard around the world, Candiace and Ashley have gotten into serious arguments that may or may not have involved a butter knife. And after the explosive reunion last year, it seems as though they’re not exactly destined to get off on the right foot for Season 6. At least Candiace doesn’t have to worry about Monique snatching her wig on camera anymore.
