Evelyn Lozada is returning to reality TV – this time with a different fiancé. Evelyn just scored a new show, tentatively called ‘Evelyn‘ which will air on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network and chronicles her new life with MLB player Carl Crawford, her relationship with daughter Shaniece Hairston, and her son Carl Leo Jr, who just turned 1.
Evelyn premiers in July, and is produced by Shed Media, with Evelyn also serving as an executive producers. The show will focus primarily on Evelyn and Shaniece’s evolving lives, and how their relationship changes as well.
“‘Evelyn‘ will follow Lozada and her 21-year-old daughter Shaniece, both of whom are experiencing big changes in their lives,” reveals The Wrap. “Lozada will have to learn how to balance her many business opportunities with being a new mother. Meanwhile, Shaniece’s modeling career is taking off.”
VH1 loves a franchise crossover, doesn’t it? First it has people hopping from city to city for Love & Hip Hop, and now the network is following its own lead with the ladies of Basketball Wives! I can’t say I’m surprised, but no show in either franchise is going to live up to the ratchet behavior and entertainment that Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta has brought to the small screen! It hit struck gold with that cast for sure!
We’ve got the inside scoop on the upcoming season of Basketball Wives: LA! Along with some new faces, some of the franchise’s veterans will be returning. Joining them will also be Shaunie O’Neal (it’s been a long time since I’ve written about ol’ Nostrils!) and Tami Roman who previously made their home in Miami on the original Basketball Wives. That’s a recipe for drama if I’ve ever heard!
Now, Draya claims that she was simply too sick to host the even at Penthouse Nightclub. She also says she called the club owner with plenty of notice and told him that she would not be able to make it. The owner then threatened to trash Draya in the media. Sounds simple enough, right?
Well, a hostess for the club has a whole different story of what actually happened….
Ahhh, the rite of passage known as one's twenty-first birthday. I remember mine fondly. After all, it was just a couple decades years ago (around the same time Evelyn Lozada celebrated hers). I had a Spanish final exam the morning of my birthday, so none of that hitting the bars at the stroke of midnight the night before…oh no, I just had to start the festivities at lunch on the big day. And talk about stylish! I was sporting a turtleneck, Pilgrim shoes, and high-waisted jeans (how they are making a second round in fashion is beyond me), and damn did I look good as I hit up all the classiest joints Clemson had to offer in the late '90s. I'd say my twenty-first birthday was almost–ALMOST–as over-the-top as Evelyn's night out for daughter Shaniece Hairston…except I didn't get a Benz…and I still can't look at butterscotch Schnapps.
Over the weekend, Shaniece was treated to a major time in Vegas this past weekend courtesy of her mother's new fiance generosity. She was even gifted a Mercedes Benz G550. Every twenty-one-year-old should learn about the responsibilities of adulthood by driving a car worth well over $100K, right?
Evelyn revealed first photos of her son in a spread with OK magazine that debuted on Friday and then started posting a few pictures on Instagram over the weekend. All we can say is 'oh my god is he a cutie'!
Late February, Evelyn Lozada went on record to say she would get her body back within 60 days of giving birth. Well, love her or hate her, you have to give her credit for staying focused and making it happen.
Evelyn has lost a whopping 30 pounds since she gave birth to her son, Carl Leo, just seven weeks ago. She gained 42 pounds while pregnant.
Speaking to ABC News, the former Basketball Wives star said, "I'm proud of where I'm at so far. My body feels like it's almost back to normal."Evelyn has a right to feel proud – she looks great!
When Tami Roman calls out your behavior, you must be doing something very, very wrong. The Basketball Wives star isn't known for her couth or kindness on the reality show. Instead, she's brash, aggressive, and in her co-stars' faces at every turn. It must be bad when she's dishing on someone else's issues!
Jennifer Williams left the reality hit after a physical altercation in which her former best friend Evelyn Lozada charged at her over a dining room table at the Derby…you know, normal everyday stuff. Now Jen's ex-husband has come upon hard times, and Tami feels like he's getting what he deserves.
We love to snark here at Reality Tea (it's kind of our thing), but we would never wish ill on anyone no matter how much they annoy us or how vile they seem to be in their everyday lives as they're caught on camera. I have to say that I'll never condone Tami Roman's atrocious behavior on Basketball Wives, but I hated to learn that she was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after fainting. Thankfully, she's doing much better!
The reality star is busier than ever these days, reportedly starring in her own reality show Roman Empire and prepping to act along side Halle Berry in a new CBS drama produced by Steven Spielberg. Seriously, how did that happen? Do you think Halle Berry looked at her agent and was like, are you kidding me? And Spielberg? E.T.? Saving Private Ryan? Indian Jones? Anyway, I digress. I just find the pairings odd. #understatement. Where were we? Oh yes, Tami had a health scare.
