Real Housewives of Orange County

Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen - Season 14

Real Housewives Of Orange County has no ‘quiet women’ – especially not Lydia McLaughlin who ‘secretly’ invited/not-invited Kelly Dodd to dinner at The Hysterical Shrieking Insane Quiet Woman with Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge. And surprise-not-surprise: Kelly showed up, provoking a dieting-not-dieting Shannon to fling her plate, flip Kelly off, and get flipping thrown out

Shannon and Tamra didn’t know Lydia had been scheming-not-scheming by inviting Kelly until the episode aired, and now they’re calling out her “pot stirring” antics. For some reason Meghan Edmonds is involving herself, because that’s what Meghanny Drew, Girl Detective does – she gets to the bottom of drama!

Kelly & Shannon argue in the bathroom

That last Real Housewives of Orange County episode was epic. Shannon Beador and Kelly Dodd going at it in the restaurant was a shit show and a half. The part that is so strange to me though is that Lydia McLaughlin is actually the one who invited Kelly to the restaurant, yet Shannon is mad at Kelly for “ambushing” her. Lydia could have/should have given Shannon a heads up about the invite.

Now Lydia is playing the innocent card (yet again) wondering why Shannon went off on Kelly for innocently walking into the bathroom and why Kelly took it way too far by telling her to “keep eating.”

Kelly Dodd already admitted on Watch What Happens Live that she had zero regrets about her behavior at The Quiet Woman. The Real Housewives of Orange County star elaborates on her thoughts over the episode in her newest blog entry.

She shares a bit of background on how the night unraveled, “Before I jump fully into the Shannon-igans at The Quiet Woman, I want to explain something…as you saw, Lydia actually invited me to dinner when she was riding in Peggy’s Ferrari. I thought Tamra was going to dinner, but I wasn’t sure about Shannon. Regardless, I had to decline because my dear friend had family visiting from Philadelphia and they invited Michael and me for a sunset cruise on Newport Harbor. That’s where I was when Lydia called – enjoying a beautiful day with close friends on the water, sharing some great wine and hors d’oeuvers.”

Heather Dubrow

It was safe to assume that Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd were not be upset when they found out Heather Dubrow would not be returning to Real Housewives of Orange County. She did not get along with Kelly from the jump and she was on Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador’s side of their feud against Vicki.

Now we don’t have to just assume that Vicki and Kelly were happy that Heather left the show because they both just confirmed the sentiment.

That restaurant fight between Kelly Dodd and Shannon Beador sure got ugly. Shannon definitely overreacted (yet again) to Kelly’s presence at the restaurant even though I figured that she should be well-aware that Kelly might show up considering that they’re both cast members on the same reality show. Still, Kelly took the insults too far (yet again) by telling Shannon to, “keep eating” while she was struggling with her weight.

As awful as that was, Shannon throwing that plate because it wasn’t hers was hilarious. Even after watching the episode, Kelly made it clear that she doesn’t regret anything during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

Shannon flips Kelly Off

Last night’s Real Housewives Of Orange County was like getting food poisoning at a BBQ thrown by a person you cannot stand, but whose party you have to attend because they’re related to your significant other. Basically it was like all of Shannon Beador‘s Thanksgivings – saddled to David and his dour mother who possibly put Ex-Lax in the cranberries she pretended to make from scratch. But it wasn’t just the food that was poisoned last night – there were all sorts of hellish encounters, and no one’s saintly patience was tested more than Shannon’s! Oh Shannon – can we take you nowhere without an incident or scene? Recounting your Housewives history, the answer, thankfully, is NO!

There is probably no one who loves a Real Housewives “dinner from hell” more than I do. In fact, I quit throwing dinner parties because mine are never terrible enough. It’s probably because I don’t have enough psychic friends, or frenemies who despise each other, or friends going through terrible personal dramas they want to talk about on TV, but refuse to let anyone else discuss. No one has ever thrown a plate full of steak at me either. Maybe I should just give up dinner altogether. I should also probably avoid my friends’ children’s birthday parties because they’re just the usual kids running around and eating too much cake. No middle-aged women argue, storm off, or have histrionic meltdowns over semantics.

Meghan apologizes for Glamis

So far this season, Meghan Edmonds has had zero drama with the rest of the Real Housewives of Orange County ladies. That’s because the only scenes she’s filmed have been with her husband and baby, but it’s good for staying out of the fray and still collecting that Bravo paycheck.

Even though Meghan has stayed away from the controversy, she did watch the last episode and she has plenty of opinions about everything that has gone down.

Say what you want about Shannon Beador, but no one can dispute that she really puts herself out there. From revealing her husband David Beador’s affair, to taking her shirt off for a weigh in, Shannon shares it all on Real Housewives of Orange County– especially her dislike for enemy Vicki Gunvalson.

The last episode was a tough look for Shannon and things look even crazier tonight with Shannon screaming at Kelly Dodd in a restaurant- which is something I am so pumped to see. Now Shannon is defending herself after arguing with Lydia McLaughlin at Tamra Judge’s granddaughter’s birthday party (again) and takes ownership for her weight gain.
