Real Housewives of Orange County

Get your airplane sick bags out, people. Or you might want to set your DVR (so you can fast forward) because tonight on The Real Housewives of Orange County we’re going to be rehashing (for the 12 millionth time!) David Beador’s AFFAIR!!!!

Just when you think we’ve finally put this this storyline to bed with the “closure” of a vow renewal and a second honeymoon, that damned A word sneaks back up on us!!  On tonight’s episode David’s family shows up to watch the Beador girls perform for the first time and they say some hurtful things about Shannon – basically blaming her for David’s cheating.

Heather Dubrow blog

The last episode of Real Housewives of Orange County was more dramatic than I could ever imagine and it surprisingly didn’t involve anyone screaming at each other. It was more of a subtle drama that made the cast members and the viewers question Meghan Edmonds and Shannon Beador after they had virtually NO reaction to Heather Dubrow telling them about Vicki Gunvalson getting in a serious accident.

I feel like a lot of people understand why Meghan and Shannon don’t want to be friends with Vicki after her antics last year and her lack of actual apologies, but not going to see someone in the hospital who had no one there to help her was really harsh.

Tamra tells Meghan to

Meghan King Edmonds defends herself in this week’s Real Housewives of Orange County blog. She defends herself for not rushing to the hospital with Vicki Gunvalson and she also defends herself against negative viewers who are convinced she’s drinking alcohol during her pregnancy.

Meghan starts off by standing by her initial reaction of not rushing over to the hospital by Vicki.  “I’ve been getting a lot of backlash over the last two weeks for not visiting Vicki in the ER and while I do feel bad if I let anyone down, I still stand by my decision to not drive to the hospital. How many of you can honestly say if you were in my shoes, you would drop everything and rush to the ER? If Vicki had been admitted to the hospital, it would have been a completely different situation, but that wasn’t the case. I was texting her throughout the couple hours she was in the ER to make sure she was alright. If Vicki wanted me there, she would’ve have said so while I was texting her. She didn’t let me know that she needed clothes or a ride home while we were texting either.”

Flipping Out Season Finale recap

On last night’s season 9 finale of Flipping Out, it was the end of one era and the beginning of another. As Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward say goodbye to Zoila Chavez living with them, they make room for the new life who will be joining them all too soon. When Jeff and Gage see their daughter move on an ultrasound, that new era becomes more of a reality than ever.

Despite these emotional transitions, Jeff and the gang must still keep up their hustle. So they take a job with Real Housewives of Orange County star (and close friend of Jeff’s) Shannon Beador to decorate her new home. And her budget is HUGE!

Tamra recovers in Glamis

I have always thought that Meghan King Edmonds was way too nice to be on Real Housewives of Orange County, but I am starting to rethink that after I witnessed (what I perceived to be) a lack of compassion for Vicki Gunvalson in the hospital after the dune buggy accident in Glamis. Kelly Dodd (who came on the show as a friend of Meghan’s) is also very put off by her reaction.

When Kelly (who is no stranger to social scandals) is calling you out, then you know you messed up. But at least Meghan has a story line of her own this season! Maybe that’s not an actual bright side since she has been getting a lot of negative attention for this, but I’m just trying to look for something positive in this whole thing.

Vicki Gunvalson - Shannon Beador No Compassion

Oh how the tide has changed. Vicki Gunvalson started out this season as public enemy number one on Real Housewives of Orange County. Now that Vicki got in that scary dune buggy accident, she actually has a valid reason to play the victim. Not only that, but it can also be argued that she has a legitimate reason to come after Shannon Beador now after her less than caring reaction to Vicki’s hospitalization.

Personally,  I would have gone to the hospital to see Vicki. I understand that Shannon wasn’t friends with Vicki at the time, but it is still a bad look for her to be so indifferent in response to the news of the accident. Now that Vicki has a genuine reason to hate Shannon, of course she’s going in – hard.

Shannon is annoyed with Vicki

Once you burn a bridge with Shannon Beador… no amount of colonics, cupping, or acupuncture will rebuild it. Such is the island of Shannon‘s heart that Vicki Gunvalson finds herself stranded on! Even if Vicki finds herself in the hospital after a ATV accident!

Shannon explains why she chose to continue to keep her distance from Vicki by not visiting her in the hospital. Also, she defends fellow Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan Edmonds.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson sat down in a new interview to chat about the permanent damage she has suffered because of the Glamis accident. She also touches on her current relationships with Meghan King Edmonds and Shannon Beador. She also shares why her son Michael didn’t come to the hospital and reveals what ex-husband Donn said when he was called.

Vicki says she’s doing fine now, but still has some residual damage in her neck and back.  She says she’ll probably always have compressed discs now.  But she’s remaining positive, “it could’ve been worse.”
