Like most viewers, I wasn’t thrilled when I heard that Real Housewives of Potomac was returning for a second season, but it’s definitely way better than most of us expected. But some of the ladies are trying way too hard to get screen time. Robyn Dixon has opened up about the difference between filming Season 1 and Season 2.
She even calls out costar Ashley Darby for stirring the pot this season in a quest to make the show more interesting. She explains how Karen Huger is acting differently after Season 1 and she reveals some shocking information about Juan Dixon’s family.
As the Real Housewives of Potomac comes to a close, it’s clear that most of the cast is gunning for Karen Huger. Charrisse Jackson-Jordan had beef with her over hosting a Bermuda trip, which is a dumb and boring story line, and now everyone is coming at the self-proclaimed Grand Dame of Potomac for her mysterious real estate situation.
The finale is approaching and the preview shows Ashley Darby leading the cast to come at Karen for her shady finances. As per usual, Karen is acting like she isn’t bothered by any of these people and their antics.
It’s always interesting when Housewives from different cities are in the same place and this just seems like the most random grouping of ladies. I would love to see some videos of the women reading some dramatic monologue during their performances. Or better yet some footage of the Housewives hanging out between shows. Now that would be a show worth watching.
I will never understand why people go on reality TV if they plan to be shady with their financial situation. Case in point, Karen Huger and this mysterious real estate situation on Real Housewives of Potomac. Nothing about it makes any sense. For someone who goes out of her way to boast about her wealth and status, getting tight lipped after an overnight move is highly suspicious and Monique Samuelsis just as confused as I am.
What’s with all the secrecy, Karen? Why be so shady in such a public forum? How does it make any sense? Will we ever get any answers? Most likely not. It seems like Karen only has something to say when it comes to other people’s business, but never with her own.
On Charrisse Jackson-Jordan confronting Karen Huger, Ashley shares, “Come through with the laser tongue, Mrs. Jackson! I had no idea Karen and Charrisse were feuding so hard, and I knew gosh darn well it wasn’t over planning a girls’ trip to Bermuda. This was meant to be a time of bonding and getting away from the pressures we are all dealing with at home, but the longstanding drama between these two showed through. I think Charrisse and Karen think they are big fish who are fighting for dominance in a small pond.”
In her blog, Karen calls out Charrisse’s lies, explains how her move went (but still withholds details), and comments on Ashley’s accusations about her financial status. First, Karen says Charrisse lied about the gift baskets Karen sent to everyone’s rooms in order to make a big stink about it on camera. “Can someone please roll back the tape? Charrisse knew about the gift baskets and she knew she would be receiving one from me as well. Charrisse’s speech to the girls in the hallway was yet another lie she told just to manipulate and mislead the girls.”
I was more than happy to let the Gizelle and Charrisse drama go, but I started to miss it when Charrisse and Karen started butting heads about hosting a cast vacation. So. Stupid. Are there not better things to argue about? Clearly there was an overload of projection in this situation, but on my end it just made for some pretty annoying television.
Even though Karen Huger has a lot of questions to answer for in regard to her shady financial situation, she refused to truly address any of the speculation when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Monique Samuels. Instead of coming clean about some obvious inconsistencies, she just deflected and threw shade at the other Real Housewives of Potomac cast members, of course.
I don’t know why Karen would step into the club house a couple hours after that episode aired. I mean she had to know those questions were coming, but clearly she didn’t care. It’s Karen’s world and we’re all just living in it- or at least that’s how she’s acting.
