Life&Style magazine reports, “There were contract issues, but Aug. 31 was always the start date, with or without a contract,” says an insider.
Their insider also insists their salaries was not an issue, “The ladies wanted more money, and they’re getting it.” The insider continues, “Bravo was happy to up their pay since the show makes more money now. The Housewives just had an issue with some of the wording in the contract.”
According to Life&Style, Bethenny Frankel is still in talks with Bravo to get her own reality show, and might be leaving the NY Housewives after this season.
We also reported some nasty comments Bethenny recently made about castmate, Jill Zarin, so this 3rd season will definitely have some drama.
There have been rumors that BFFs Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel were on the outs, and Bethenny now seems to be confirming these rumors with her recent comments.
Bethenny had some harsh words for herReal Housewives of New York City castmate, calling her recent actions “utterly embarrassing.” Those recent actions include Jill’s public outings with the likes of Jon Gosselin and Michael Lohan.
“Why would Jill be hanging with Jon Gosselin and Michael Lohan?” she asked of Jill’s escapades with the D-List dads in Southampton. “That was like an episode of ‘The Surreal Life.’ It is utterly embarrassing. I mean, honestly, Urkel should have come – and if Gary Coleman showed up, it would have been perfect.”
Bethenny doesn’t stop there. As she stirred up drinks she created in honor of celebs, she snapped “No!” when asked if she created a drink for former BFF Jill, “Jill doesn’t get a drink,” said Bethenny.
This isn’t too surprising as the pair have not been photographed together in recent months. I have also heard stories about Jill becoming too big for her britches. Some are saying she has become a total diva, and a nightmare to be around. I read a story about her pulling the “Do you know who I am” outburst while she was waiting to get served at a restaurant. She seems to truly consider herself a celebrity, and wants to be famous at all cost.
Ramona debuted her softer, cropped coif last weekend at the closing day of the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field in Bridgehampton.
“I’m renewing myself,” Ramona said to PEOPLE, “I went to Oscar Blandi and I wanted to get my hair trimmed. I needed a new look. And he said, ‘Okay, how short are you willing to go with it?’”
“I never have it short,” said Ramona. “And I said, here, at the shoulder,” she explains. “He said, ‘Do you trust me?’” And the end result was worth the risk, according to Ramona. “Afterward I said, ‘Oh, my God, I feel like an older Cameron Diaz‘ — very sexy and chic and young and hip. I loved it.
Not too crazy about the new haircut but it was time for the bangs to go. Bravo plans to start filming season 3 of the NY housewives soon.
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF RAMONA’S NEW HAIRCUT?
“I’m definitely going to do the Housewives this season,” Bethenny confirmed to PEOPLE this week. “It’s been great … I love it. I understand we start filming [season 3] in September.”
Bethenny of course could not resist a chance to take a shot at rival, Kelly Bensimon, when asked if Kelly could rehabilitate her image on the new season. “Good luck with that. Am I helping? No.” said Bethenny. Gotta love her pure honesty.
The biggest news of all is Bethenny finally denied being engaged. We reported last week that she referred to her supposed fiance, Jason Hoppy, as her boyfriend. When asked by People, she denied being engaged but reaffirmed that they do plan on getting married one day. “You don’t see any ring,” she said.
Still not sure if it’s a good idea to keep publicly talking about your plan to marry someone who has yet to propose. That didn’t seem to work too well for Kim Kardashian but whatever floats Bethenny’s boat.
Bethenny Frankel made an appearance on Bravo’s new talk show – “Watch What Happens” last night as the call in guest. Bethenny denied rumors of getting her own reality show, as previously reported. When asked if she was leaving The Real Housewives of New York, she answered – “Of course I’m coming back! If you guys invite me back, I’ll be back.”
More importantly, and I’m not sure if anyone else caught this, but Bethenny referred to her supposed fiance, Jason Hoppy, as her boyfriend. When asked about the party planner incident, she said, “As my boyfriend said, the wheels came off.”
Does this mean Bethenny is not engaged after all? or did she just make an error when speaking?
It seems very unlikely that she would mistakenly refer to her fiance as her boyfriend. Come to think of it, Bethenny has never publicly confirmed being engaged. Her rep was the one who told news outlets that Jason and Bethenny would be “definitely getting married.”
So what do we have here? Bethenny is not getting her own reality show as reported, and is likely not engaged as well.
The Real Housewives of New York and New Jersey were in attendance for the taping of Bravo’sFashion Show season finale. As you can see from the above photo, the other New Jersey housewives were sure to keep their distance from Danielle.
More photos of the housewives are below courtesy of GettyImages. The NYPostwrote a blub about this the other day saying -
“At this morning’s taping for the “Fashion Show” finale at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC, “The Real Housewives” of both New York and New Jersey sat together in the audience while Danielle was seated apart from the group. When asked to get together for a picture, Danielle’s inclusion was “very awkward,” according to a source in the audience.”
The Real Housewives of New Jerseystar, Danielle Staub, seems to be the talk of the town. The New York housewives have all come out to give their opinions on her sordid past. Danielle, surprisingly gets sympathy from most of the housewives with the exception of LuAnn.
Here’s what some of the other Bravo housewives had to say regarding Danielle’s past -
Kelly Bensimon – “Everybody deserves a second chance,” Kelly told PEOPLE. “If you’ve made a mistake in life, you have two choices, you can either sit in the Lazy-Boy and eat popcorn and talk about it, or you can get out and do something fun. And I think that’s what she’s doing. I like her courage.”
Bethenny Frankel – “It isn’t pretty, but it was 24 years ago. I can’t even tell you all of the things I was doing 24 years ago that I shouldn’t have. Judging by her girls, I’d sooner have her babysit my kid then some of these other women. Granted, she was a moron for not outing herself. She is in fact on a reality show, but otherwise, everyone has a past and she isn’t exactly proud of hers. It isn’t anyone’s business.”
Jill Zarin – “This is something that happened a long time ago. It’s dead and buried in her real life, and it should never have been brought up,” Jill said. “But because she’s on a reality show, if you’ve been arrested and have a record, it’s going to come out. If you’re divorced, it’s going to come out. If you’ve lied about things, it’s going to come out. I think she should have known that.”
Alex McCord - Alex who is no stranger to past skeletons (she had some nude photos of her leaked last year) had this to say - “I hope she knew that when you go on a reality show, everything that ever happened in your past is going to come straight up.”
Simon Van Kempen – Honorable housewife Simon had this to say, “She made some mistakes, but she was very young. It was the innocence of youth,” he said. “Franklin Lakes, N.J., is thirty miles from where we’re standing. But it could be 300 — 3,000 miles. It’s such a different show than New York.”
LuAnn de Lesseps – The Cuntess Countess however had some not so nice words to say, “She walked up to me at a Reality Cares party and said, ‘Countess, we have to talk.’ And I looked at her and said, ‘About what? What could we possibly have to talk about?’ But maybe she wanted my advice,” said LuAnn, who is splitting from her husband. “In retrospect, I think maybe she really needed to talk to me. Maybe she was going to ask me who my lawyer is. I think if I had that kind of a past, an arrest, if I had any skeletons in my closet, I don’t think I’d be on a reality show.”
According to several reports, Danielle was in her early twenties when she committed these “atrocities,” so does she deserve a second chance? Would you go on a reality show if you had these type of skeletons in your past?
