The Situation

Following her early departure, yet again, on last week’s episode of Jersey Shore, 24-year-old Angelina Pivarnick is now speaking out on her time on the show.

In a new interview with UsWeekly, the Staten Island Dump reality star reveals she was “bullied” by her co-stars. “They never gave me a second shot,” Angelina says. “Just because you’re celebrities now and I left the first season does not mean I should be treated badly. It’s sad how people change.”

Apparently, things got so bad for Angelina, to the point that she is now seeing a therapist as she feels she was made a scapegoat for all the underlying problems in the house.

“I was bullied to the fullest sense,” she says. “Mike [The Situation] called me a dirty hamster, but I cleaned that house up and down. MTV never showed that. Snooki would call me a whore. Mike and Vinny would call me fat… I would go in the bathroom and cry.”

Angelina, who is now back living in Staten Island with her mom and sister, reveals she can no longer watch the show.  “It bothers me hearing the names they call me, and that it looks like I’m the backstabber,” she tells Us. “My head is really f–ked up; I see a therapist, I cry a lot. It’s probably going to take me a year to get over this. My mom got bleeding ulcers from the stress — it’s hard to watch her daughter go through what I did.”

As for her current relationship status with Jose, you know, the guy that got her a fossil watch, Angelina reveals he was just using her to get on TV.  “When I came home,” she says. “I saw he wrote on Facebook, ‘I can’t wait to be on MTV!’ He was in it to be on TV! He called me the other day and said, ‘We could have been the next Sammi and Ronnie.’

A new episode of the Jersey Shore airs tonight on MTV.  On the 11th episode of this season titled “Girls Like That,” Snooki and J-Woww decide to make amends with Sammi; Vinny pursues two groups of girls;  and Mike’s antics annoy Snooki.  It airs 10/9c.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON ANGELINA’S INTERVIEW? DO YOU FEEL BAD FOR HER? WAS SHE BULLIED?

After taking off last season of Dancing With The Stars, professional dancer Karina Smirnoff is now opening up about her current dancing ‘Situation,’ her new boyfriend, and working with her former fiance.

In the interview with Access Hollywood, Karina discusses dancing with Jersey Shore’s The Situation. “He hasn’t hit on me! And I’m taking it as an insult,” Karina joked about the rumors the two would end up hooking up. “Like, what am I? A grenade?”

In Jersey Shore terms, a grenade is an unattractive female. “We’re like brother and sister,” Karina adds, however making it clear the two do have some chemistry. “We laugh, we definitely have some flirtatious kind of mystery.”

Another reason we shouldn’t expect a Karina/Situation hookup? Well, for one Karina has a boyfriend. Karina, who has been dating pro baseball player Brad Penny for months now, says Brad and The Situation have become buddies. “They love each other and they exchanged phone numbers,” she said.

Karina also opens up about having to work with her former fiance Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is now partnered up with Brandy. Karina and Maksim broke off their engagement exactly a year ago.

“I was a little concerned about that coming into this season and that was one of the main reasons why I wanted last season off,” she told AH. “It’s cool… It’s my job; I love what I do; I love dancing; I love choreographing and I get paid for it so it’s pretty much you know perfect scenario, perfect situation. I wish him all the best.”

Moving on to tonight’s episode of DWTS. What can we expect? According to TMZ, Bristol Palin will be dancing the quickstep to “You Can’t Hurry Love,” Audrina Patridge will be dancing the quickstep as well to “Love Machine,” and The Situation will also be dancing the quickstep to “We No Speak Americano.”

Multiple outlets also reported last week that following the season premiere no show, Sarah Palin will be in attendance tonight.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON TONIGHT’S EPISODE OF DWTS?

The 11th season of Dancing With The Stars premiered last night on ABC. While the general consensus amongst critics seems to be that this cast is not as good as last season’s, E! Online is reporting today that with over 21 million viewers tuning in last night, the ratings are up 3.5 million viewers from last fall’s premiere.

Last night brought us some great surprises, Kyle Massey anyone? While some other stars failed to sizzle on the dance floor. Three of the stars tied for last place with a score of 15. Those stars are The Situation, Margaret Cho, and David Hasselhoff. In the case of The Situation, he had a bit of an excuse as he only had 6 days to practice before the premiere, compared to the 3 weeks his competitors had.

The belles of the ball last night would have to be Brandy and Jennifer Grey. Brandy received praises from the judges for her graceful Viennese Waltz to go along with her score of 23. Jennifer Grey also danced the waltz following her emotional practice session with partner Derek Hough. Jennifer scored the highest point of the night, receiving a 24. Trying for second place alongside Brandy was Kyle Massey, who shocked the audience with his great Cha Cha Cha performance.

Despite the comparisons to Kate Gosselin, Bristol Palin gave a solid performance, receiving a score of 16. The most talked about event of the night however came in the form of an absence from the show. Despite numerous reports from multiple media outlets confirming that Sarah Palin would be at the show last night, the former Governor of Alaska ended up being a no show. According to the Today Show, Sarah had a last minute change of heart and decided she did not want to steal the spotlight away from daughter Bristol. Sarah will reportedly attend next week’s show.

Unlike last season, one of the dancing couples will be eliminated during the first week of competition. The results show airs tonight on ABC at 9/8c.

Dancing With The Stars

The 11th season of the hit series Dancing With The Stars is set to premiere tonight on ABC!

So what can we expect during the 2-hour premiere? TMZ is reporting that the most shocking performance will come from teen mom Bristol Palin and her partner Mark Ballas, as the two will dance the Cha Cha Cha to “Mama Told Me (Not to Come).” Bristol will reportedly rip off some “tear-away clothes” during the performance.

It gets even better as TMZ also confirms Bristol’s mom Sarah Palin will be in the audience tonight. Sources tell TMZ security has been heightened at CBS Television City in LA, the place where DWTS is broadcast.

In other DWTS news, Brandy and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy are said to be the ones to beat, while The Situation is at the biggest disadvantage, as his competitors were able to get in two extra weeks of practice, while he was still filming the 3rd season of the Jersey Shore.

DWTS 11 premieres tonight at 8/7c on ABC.

Jersey Shore GQ Makeover

The fellas of Jersey Shore get unguidofied in the latest issue of GQ.

Since the Jersey Shore guys take a lot of pride in their GTL rituals aka Gym Tan Laundry, the folks at GQ decided to address the gym “situation” by providing them with some simplified sportswear.

Above is a after shot following the makeover for Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Vinny Guadagnino. The guys also did a Q & A with GQ, excerpts below -

GQ: What about using personal trainers? Yes or no?
Vinny: I used to be a trainer, and 90 percent of the people who use trainers are women and old people. But it can be good—I used to train other trainers sometimes.
DJ Pauly D: Sometimes I look at the trainers at the gym, and I look better than them. I’m not gonna take advice from somebody who doesn’t look better than me, bro. Mike, I don’t really have a six-pack. Should I be crying in my beer about it?
The Situation: Nah. Be confident in what you got.

GQ: What’s the best body-related compliment you’ve gotten from a girl?
Vinny: I’m not that big next to these guys, but—
Ronnie: It’s more about the mind-body connection with Vinny.
The Situation: It’s more about the pushin’.

Following the Monday night announcement of the dull cast of Dancing With The Stars, ABC is now revealing the professional/celebrity pairings!

The most talked about “star” this season is Jersey Shore break out star The Situation, who will be paired off with pro dancer Karina Smirnoff.

This marks Karina’s return to the show since her last appearance on season 9. Also returning this season is Karina’s ex-fiance Maksim Chmerkovskiy who is paired up with Singer/Actress Brandy.

And while the 11th season doesn’t premiere until Sept. 20, Bristol Palin is already bringing the lols as she tells PEOPLE magazine she will be wearing modest outfits on the show. “I think I will be the most dressed [contestant and have] the most modest outfits for sure because that’s who I am,” said Bristol. Allrighty then.

Below is the full list of the celebrities and their partners.

  • Michael Bolton and Chelsie Hightower
  • Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
  • Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel
  • Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke
  • Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough
  • David Hasselhoff and Kym Johnso

TELL US – WHO DO YOU PREDICT WILL BE GOING HOME FIRST?

After weeks of speculation, the ABC network finally unveiled the new cast of Dancing With The Stars last night.

The big reveal, done press conference style, was however a tad uneventful as the names of 11 of the 12 cast members had already leaked thanks to multiple media outlets. The only star who’s name was not leaked? Turned out to be Disney actor Kyle Massey. Kyle starred on Disney’s hit show That’s So Raven, which might or might not be one of the best shows in Disney’s history.

And despite the rumors she started herself on twitter, Teresa Giudice is not a part of the cast. No Bravo reality star is a part of the cast, though we still think throwing a housewife into the mix would have been genius.

So the official DWTS 11 cast includes Brandy; Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey; Comedian Margaret Cho; The Hills alum Audrina Patridge; Florence Henderson; Bristol Palin, Michael Bolton; Jersey Shore‘s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino; David Hasselhoff; NBA champion Rick Fox; NFL quarterback Kurt Warner; & Disney star Kyle Massey.

ABC will officially reveal the professional partners of the stars tomorrow. It is rumored that Karina Smirnoff will be partnered up with The Situation, while Florence Henderson will be partnered with Corky Ballas.

Bristol Palin appeared on GMA today with her partner Mark Ballas (let the romance rumors begin!) “I just wanted to do it because it’s so fun,” she told UsWeekly at a DWTS press conference Monday night. “It’s positive and it’s a good competition. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and have a good time.”

As for her famous mom Sarah Palin, Bristol reveals she is very supportive. “She’s always been my No. 1 fan,” said Bristol, 19. “Of course, she’ll be down here [cheering me on].”

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE NEW CAST OF DWTS? BETTER THAN LAST SEASON?

While Bravo has reportedly invited all of the Real Housewives of New York City, excluding Jennifer Gilbert, back for a 4th season, it seems the housewives are a bit reluctant to sign the dotted line.

The NYPost is reporting that ladies are banding together, refusing to sign a new contract with the network unless they get more money. Jersey Shore money to be exact.

See, the Post states the ladies are earning a mere $4,000 per episode for their show, while MTV reality star Snooki earns $30,000 per episode on the Jersey Shore hit show.

They’ve got a lot more to say,” Jill Zarin a source close to the Housewives tells the Post, adding that the ladies “have little choice but to pimp themselves out with side gigs to bump up their earnings.”

“It’s a full-time job without the full-time pay,” a second source says. “That’s why a reality star with any sense does a book line or jewelry line to support being on the show.”

Well let’s examine things to see if the NYC ladies really deserve more money. The show averaged 2 million viewers per episode last season, while the Jersey Shore’s current season is averaging 5 million viewers. So simple calculation shows that solely based on the ratings, the ladies should be earning at least $12,000 per episode. Oddly enough, the Jersey Shore cast and the Real Housewives of NYC cast have about the same number of cast members.

Also, it is likely that Bethenny Frankel is not involved in this negotiation process with the other housewives. With the success of her spin off show, there’s a good chance her negotiations is being done solo and she will likely earn more money than her co-stars if and when she returns to the show. For example, TMZ reported Jersey Shore’s The Situation is earning $60,00o per episode on the show, way more than all of his other co-stars.
