Something tells me Christina Aguilera is not a pleasant co-worker, but it looks like things got completely out of control this past week between her and The Voice co-star Adam Levine. Radar has the scoop on a huge fight the two had at the May 7 rehearsal for the singing competition and Adam sounds like another piece of work.

Apparently frustrated by Christina’s criticisms of his contestant, Tony Lucca, Adam decided he would have Tony sing “99 Problems” by Jay-Z, which famously includes the line “I got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one.” The “bitch” being Christina. Adam decided to employ the trick of high school girls everywhere and express himself in pointed song lyrics. Like most adult men.

Christina heard about this and freaked out, but it was the network that ended up demanding Tony replace the b-word with “chick.” Adam did not want to change it. A source says that Adam called Christina out during rehearsal:

“Adam went right up to Christina and said ‘you’re the biggest f***ing c***.’ Obviously Christina was appalled and hissed that Adam should be fired. She’s sick of being treated this way. “Christina is so sick of Adam being looked at as the golden boy of the show. If America knew how disgusting he was, they would be appalled, she always says.”

Adam retreated to his trailer while the song was being figured out. The same source who talked to Radar also probably talked to Hollywoodlife, guessing from the pro-Christina tone of their statements. Apparently Adam is a master manipulator and has sneakily been getting at Christina for a while now.

“He’s very good at getting under skin. Adam’s very subtle and doesn’t use words, just sneaky actions. She’s sick of the way she’s being treated, and she’s disgusted with Adam. Christina really takes it to heart when Adam does these things. She doesn’t know why he does it, she doesn’t understand why he’s being so mean.”

Whether or not he has a reason to be so mean to Christina, one person who is over their argument is Cee-Lo Green who tells US magazine that their fighting “is getting old and inconvenient for everyone.” He just wants the two to move forward for season three:

“Adam hasn’t come to me and spoken to me [about his issues] and neither has Christina. But whatever it is, I’m hoping that we can get over it. It’s not something that we should carry over into season three. I want the integrity of the show intact.”
