All hail Lord
Douche-ick Disick! It’s hard being royalty, especially when the United States’ version of royalty is over-paid, under-educated, over-exposed reality personalities who are famous because someone who is related to someone they once or thrice procreated with was tee-tee’d on (I’m old and Southern, sue me for not being cruder..in this instance at least!) for a multi-gajillion dollar sex tape. Such are the conundrums of Scott Disick.
Sure, the reality star is NOW famous (for lack of a better word) in his own right. He’s got three kids with family kash kow Kim Kardashian’s sister Kourtney, and the pair have a slew of spin-offs under their over-priced (but kind of classless) belts. But let’s be honest, Scott’s infamy is a product of his entitled behavior and penchant for booze and pills (allegedly). Plus, he’s a Lord, y’all, and he does what Lords do, like shattering mirrors in drunken rages, hating on his girlfriend’s family (warranted, so he’ll get a pass), and shoving dollar bills into the mouths of waiters who fail to cater to his every gross whim. Klassy!

It seems that no matter how much Scott tries to make himself appear more favorable in the public eye, he’s always going to go back to being….well, himself. The father of three, who gained a following on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and a bunch of “____ and ____ Take ____” spin-offs (insert your own words, just for fun!) doesn’t seem to have learned from past mistakes. Color me not shocked.
According to TMZ, Scott, whose resume can only consist of copious club promotions, is falling down on the job. After basically dialing it in to an event in Manchester, the event promoters are seeking legal action. They claim Scott complained about accommodations, refused to interact with fans, and was an all-around asshat. Again, not surprised. At $145 a ticket, his fans (are they real?) were less than impressed, and the company is seeking damages based on breach of contract.
The same site reports that Scott isn’t faring much better with other clubs in the United Kingdom. It claims that Southampton’s Switch night club and Bournemouth’s Cameo club both booked Scott for appearances, but he bailed to party with Kim and Ko. at Paris Fashion Week. Like any professional, he gave them a head’s up…a few hours before his scheduled appearance…via Twitter. Of course he did!
A spokesperson for Switch put Scott on Twitter blast to air his frustrations, asserting, “Scott Disick has let us know via his manager’s Twitter at 9.30pm that he cannot come tonight due to ‘unforeseen circumstances.’ The real truth is he’s gone to Paris to party and ignore his fans. Due to unforeseen circumstances @ScottDisick is unable to attend Bournemouth and Southampton this evening,” continuing, “These famous for nothing celebs have too much money and don’t realise [sic] they are letting down venues, ruining peoples reputations and livelihood, and their fans.”
We all keep saying it, but when (seriously when?) will these folks stop being famous? I guess I should try to answer that once I stop blogging about them. #irony 😉
