My love of Jeff Lewis and Flipping Out rivals only my love of the paint color “greige” (the majority of my household’s rooms are literally covered in this palette due to Jeff’s unnatural influence over me). But, alas! Apart from a short-lived spinoff show and an ill-fated appearance with Brandi Glanville on What What Happens Live, Jeff Lewis has been…well, kind of MIA. But, fans of OCD decorating everywhere: rejoice! A long awaited new season of Flipping Out is heading our way July 1st on Bravo!
In a sneak peak clip, we see that the main cast of characters is back, including Jeff’s long suffering assistant Jenni Pulos, Jeff’s boyfriend (and everyone else’s nemesis) Gage Edward, and live in housekeeper Zoila Chavez. Jeff says he’s been in hibernation for awhile, but he’s “coming out…again!” For him, that means not only flipping properties and tearing his contractors – and employees – new a-holes every once in a while, but also thinking about having a baby with Gage. “Am I too old to have a baby?” Jeff asks at an appointment on the preview clip.

Also on the docket for this season is Zoila’s possible retirement from Jeff’s indentured servitude employment, and her continued tears over Jeff’s gruff treatment. Acting as a second mom to Jeff in seasons past, Zoila’s presence on the show, and in Jeff’s life, has become a central focus.
More of what we love about Flipping Out is sure to be in this season’s footage: practical jokes on unsuspecting interns, Jeff’s rampages on, well, everyone in his presence, Jeff’s signature decor, and overbearing clients. Jeff says, “some of these clients will never be happy…it’s just a frustrating business.” Frustrating or not, I’m hoping Jeff signs on for another fourteen seasons in a row. Because there’s just something about watching him overhaul a house while insulting every human being in a 5 foot range that’s compelling TV. (Do I need help?)
