In last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance secrets were revealed and negotiations were made. With less than 90 days to get married, the couples have no time to waste. In fact, instead of growing closer, some are drifting apart. No one knows the fate of these relationships, but I have been thoroughly entertained throughout the process.
Brandon stands up to his parents. Jovi doesn’t believe Yara is pregnant. Mike refuses to plan the wedding. Tarik and Hazel look for a third in their relationship. Zied learns about Rebecca‘s ex. Stephanie admits her secret. Let’s get straight to the 90 Day Fiance recap!
Brandon, 27 (Dinwiddie, VA), and Julia, 26 (Russia)
After being issued an ultimatum from Julia, Brandon meets with his parents to deliver the news. As expected, his parents don’t receive him wanting to move out well.. As a last resort, Brandon suggests that things could possibly be resolved, if they can stay in the same room together. His father is furious that they are being manipulated, but his mother is willing to do anything to keep her son on the farm. SMH… I’m with the dad, it’s time that they find their own home. Clearly, Julia doesn’t want to help on the farm or adhere to the house rules. Therefore, they need to pay the cost to be the boss in their own house. Otherwise, you are in no position to make demands.
Brandon takes Julia on a date to see if she is open to possibly staying on the farm. When she finds out that she and Brandon can stay in the same room and she no longer has to be a farm hand, she agrees to stay. Of course, now that she has gotten her way. But even if Brandon’s parents changed their minds, there is still going to be tension. What is Julia going to do, stay cooped up in the room all day until Brandon returns from work? Brandon’s parents need to let him grow up and be a man.
Mike, 35 (Sequim, WA), and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)
Mike feels an intense amount of pressure to move forward with the wedding from Natalie. But, he isn’t even ready to give the engagement ring back. Before she leaves, his mother suggests they focus on rebuilding their relationship, before making a final decision. I can’t say that I disagree, this relationship has more ups and downs than a see saw at a park.
Now that Mike’s mother is gone, Natalie feels like he has abandoned the idea of getting married. With less than 2 months left on the K1 Visa, a decision will have to be made very soon. Mike just wants to focus on working on their relationship. But I don’t know how much is going to be accomplished is less than two months.
When they go for a hike, Natalie quickly becomes upset when she is questioned about wearing makeup. Then as quickly as she got mad, she acts as if nothing ever happened. No wonder Mike is confused, he never knows what is going to set her off. Currently, her shit list includes alcohol, fatty foods, criticism and anything that reminds her that she isn’t officially engaged anymore. Mike seems to deal with being overwhelmed by avoiding any talk of a wedding at all cost, much to his Natalie’s dismay.
Jovi, 29 (New Orleans, LA), and Yara, 25 (Ukraine)
After their blow up at the airport the day before, Jovi and Yara decide to spend a fun day out. Shockingly, when Yara reveals that she is pregnant, Jovi doesn’t believe her. I don’t know if it’s because she decided to have this serious conversation while getting a henna tattoo, or because he is a jerk. Apparently, he has good reason to doubt her. Yara has claimed she was pregnant before, only to tell him later that she was joking.
Once they return home, he demands she takes a test in front of him. When the test isn’t positive, he is convinced she was lying. When she says the test must be bad, he then asks her to take another. If you can’t trust a person wouldn’t lie about a pregnancy, maybe you aren’t ready for marriage. Jovi is immediately apologetic when he realizes Yara was telling him the truth. SMH…
Stephanie, 52 (Grand Rapids, MI), and Ryan, 27 (Belize)
Stephanie wakes up demanding to know why she and Ryan didn’t have sex, the night before. They haven’t been intimate in 10 months, so it’s hard for her to believe he has been faithful. Ryan claims he was only considering that she may be tired on her first night in Belize. Things quickly escalate from a question to her reminding him of all of their past issues and eventually her confessing her secret. But the plot thickens when he has no reaction and says that he already knew. WTF!
There is something very odd about these two. There is no way in hell that I believe he has been faithful for almost a year, especially after her indiscretion with a family member. Although he refuses to forgive his cousin, he is willing to forgive her because he loves her. Insert side eye here. Maybe it’s the fact that she is his ticket to the U.S. and continues to shower him with money and gifts.
Andrew, 32 (Roseville, CA), and Amira, 28 (France)
After being detained and deported in Mexico, Amira feels very alone. Her fiancé, Andrew can’t be bothered to check on her with him enjoying his vacation in Mexico. When they do finally speak, he has the nerve to suggest that she go to Serbia alone to try to enter the U.S. again. I’m sorry, but Amira would be crazy to try this again after what happened last time.
Later, she meets with her close friend, Xavier for relationship advice. He is shocked that Amira is actually considering putting herself into this predicament again. Hell, I am questioning it as well. Basically every man in her life is telling her that Andrew is not the man for her. Frankly, I don’t understand what she even sees in him.
Rebecca, 49 (Woodstock, GA), and Zied, 27 (Tunisia)
Rebecca invites her private investigator friend, Melanie who did a background check on Zied in the past, to the apartment. I have no idea why she would ask anyone to come to that empty house, when the only furniture they have is a mattress on the floor. Instead of a friendly visit, it seems like an interrogation. Even criminals are allowed to sit while being grilled, but Zied is forced to stand up and listen to this woman compare him to Rebecca’s ex-husband. She clearly was on a mission.
She also lets it “slip” that Rebecca lived in the same building with her ex. Zied is beyond tired of being compared to another man, just because he wasn’t born in America. Rebecca, if you want to keep your man, you may want to stop inviting your family and friends to belittle him. Otherwise, the only thing you will have left of your relationship is your shrine of items with your faces on them.
Tarik, 46 (Virginia Beach, VA), and Hazel, 28 (Philippines)
With the state on lock down, Tarik and Hazel are using their newfound time to create a profile to find a girlfriend. Tariq is open to any woman, but he does have a few ground rules. He doesn’t want these activities anywhere around his child and they will have to trust one another. Unfortunately, I don’t think Hazel will be able to follow the last rule. She made him dump their last girlfriend because she was jealous. But I guess we will see how their journey for a sister wife unfolds.
