Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn Excluded From MTV Awards After Netflix Failed To Give Her A Ticket

Selling Sunset just had a huge night at the 2022 MTV Movie and TV Awards, taking home the top prize in the unscripted categories for Best Docu-Reality Series. However, if you watched the awards show, you might have noticed that one of Selling Sunset’s key cast members was missing: Christine Quinn. How do you have the Selling Sunset cast at your event but not include Christine? She was nominated in multiple categories for crying out loud! According to Page Six, Christine was supposed to be in attendance but was disinvited at the last minute. But why? Sources speculate that her absence is related to some controversial interviews she recently did where she bashed the show’s producers.

A source close to the production claimed, “The entire cast (including Christine) received a save the date from both MTV and from Netflix back in February for the event. Many conversations were had about inviting her with a plus-one, her arrival time, etc. Christine was then officially disinvited last week.”

The insider believes that this snub has to do with Christine’s recent interviews where she talked about the show’s creator, Adam DiVello. In case you missed it, a few weeks ago, Christine alleged that the show’s creator got upset with her for doing an interview talking about how production forces storylines and uses “editing magic” to make the show what it is.

It’s not like everyone watching Selling Sunset doesn’t know that it’s edited to the high heavens. Still, according to Christine, Adam screamed at her and threatened her in response to the remarks about the show.

“He actually told me to go fall down the stairs and kill myself at one point,” Christine claimed. “He was threatening me and yelling at me,” she continued. “There were other people around, witnesses to this. He basically berated me for being too honest, and I said, ‘This is my real life, and this didn’t happen, and you know this,’ to which then he was screaming and yelling at me.”

Christine also alluded to previous problematic interactions with Adam. She revealed, “There was another complaint to where he, to this day, cannot set foot on set with any of the women in the office because of misconduct.”

Those are pretty big accusations from Christine, and according to an insider, this is the very thing that prompted Netflix to yank her off of their guest list.

“My guess is that they knew in advance that Selling Sunset was going to win, hence why Adam was in attendance, and it made it less sticky of a situation to not have Christine present,” the source claimed.

Despite the multiple complaints allegedly being filed against Adam, he was on stage to accept the award for Best Docu-Reality Series alongside the team of glamorous real estate agents. Meanwhile, Christine is busy working on her cryptocurrency real estate startup. And although she is no longer a part of the Oppenheim Group, she claims that she will be part of Selling Sunset season 6. However, with a rift growing between Christine, her castmates, the production company, and now Netflix, it’s hard to see exactly where she will fit into this puzzle.
