Real Housewives of Salt Lake City rookie Monica Garcia said being at BravoCon in Las Vegas last week was an “absolute dream.”
“It’s actually helped me a lot,” she said. “because I’ve been able to talk to so many people who’ve been where I’m at and gone through what I’ve gone through. It’s been comforting.”
She spoke with Access Hollywood on Friday, November 1 about her first trip to BravoCon and the status of her relationship with her mom, Linda.
Where are Monica and Linda now?
In Season 4 Episode 8 of RHOSLC, Monica met her mom to discuss their most recent fight, which took place at Angie Katsanevas’ Easter brunch. The day after their big blowout, Linda took away Monica’s car as punishment for her behavior. (Due to Monica’s bad credit, her mom financed the car, but Monica makes the payments.)
The “conversation” quickly disintegrated into a screaming match, which accomplished nothing. It was very apparent, however, how immature and selfish Monica’s mom is. She cares about no one but herself.
But how are Monica and Linda doing since the fight? Rather than reaching out to Monica, her mom has been “all over social media,” attacking her daughter. Nice. I’m guessing Monica never got her car back either. She needs to go out and finance her own car and be done with her mom, at least for a while.
“I’m shocked, I’ll be honest,” the mom of four admitted. “I did not expect that low of a situation to happen. It’s the retweets and the likes of awful things that are said about me that I’m like, ‘You’re my mom.’ … That aspect has been hard.”
“We haven’t really spoken since we wrapped filming,” she added. When asked if her mom might show up for the Season Reunion show, she was quick to say, “Let’s hope not! Let’s not speak that into existence!”
