Brynn Whitfield and Andy Cohen Honor Fan Who Died After Leaving BravoCon

On Monday, November 6 at 2 a.m. CST, a Chevrolet Equinox ran off eastbound Interstate 70 at Lee’s Summit Road in Independence, Missouri. A good Samaritan, Robert Piper, and his family happened to be driving behind the Chevy when the incident occurred.

They were driving home from BravoCon 2023. Robert pulled over and tried to help, stepping out of his vehicle to check on the overturned car. Tragedy occurred when another vehicle on the interstate crashed into Robert and the overturned SUV. The collision killed Robert and one passenger in the Chevy.

The Piper family was devastated by the crash and hoped that everyone would remember Robert not as a victim, but for his character. Now, various Bravolebrities are paying tribute to the hero, including Brynn Whitfield and Andy Cohen.

Brynn remembers Robert’s “warmest smile”

On Instagram, Brynn shared a photo of the late Robert, having met him during this year’s convention. “I’d like you to take a good look at the handsome man in this photo, Robert Piper,” she wrote. “I clearly remember meeting Robert and his lovely wife, Traci (pictured). He had the warmest smile.”

She continued, “I gave them both a massive hug, thanked them for coming to my booth, told Robert how much we love husbands who watch Bravo with their wives, and how much I LOVED his pink shirt.” Brynn went on to call Robert the “salt of the earth,” and said there was “no greater human” than the type who selflessly risks their safety.

Several fans and Bravolebrities commented on the post, including Andy Cohen, who said, “The whole Bravo family is sending Robert’s family all our love.” Multiple fans who commented said they knew Robert and Traci from various Bravo fan groups and called them “lovely” people.

As with the rest of the Bravo community, our hearts go out to the Piper family.
