Dr. Heavenly Kimes Reveals ‘Most Difficult Thing’ She’s Ever Done on Married to Medicine

For nine seasons, Dr. Heavenly Kimes has delivered some of the most hilarious moments on Bravo’s Married to Medicine. She’s a mother, a dentist, and a shade assassin; the show truly would not be the same without her.

Heavenly is always full of quips, but she’s also shown her vulnerable side throughout the years. Remember when she took the ladies to Miami and brought the cameras inside her childhood home? She had a full-blown panic attack, but it turns out, that wasn’t the hardest thing she’s done on reality television.

During a recent chat with Bravo’s Daily Dish, she revealed that the most difficult experience during her M2M run is unfolding right now on Season 10 as she sends her daughter Alaura away to college.

An empty nest ain’t easy

While Quad Webb has to deal with the reality of filming a TV show with her ex-husband’s new wife, Dr. Heavenly is dealing with her own emotional battle of becoming an empty nester. In the latest episode of M2M, we watched as she and Dr. Damon Kimes tried to convince Alaura to stay in Atlanta for college.

Heavenly admitted that she even tried bribing her daughter to stay in Atlanta, but it didn’t work. Alaura had her sights set on Florida A&M University. That’s Heavenly’s alma mater, so you’d think she’d be excited. However, she shared that it was extremely difficult to let her daughter leave the coop.

“I mean, honestly, I try to have — act tough with everything, but that’s probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done on this show, is my daughter leaving,” Heavenly said.

Even as a viewer, it’s wild to think that Alaura is already in college. We met her when she was just a little kid on Season 2 of M2M. These Bravo kids grow up so fast, and Heavenly described it as “bittersweet.” Obviously, she’s happy to see her daughter blossom into an adult, but she also misses her bestie!

“She’s having the time of her life,” Heavenly shared. “I mean, I hated to see her go, but I love to see her flourish. I had to let her go, you know, and she’s gonna accomplish everything in her dreams. That’s my baby girl and that’s probably the single, most difficult thing I’ve ever done in my life, letting my daughter go away from me, after knowing where she is every second of the day you know until now.”

Married to Medicine Season 10 continues on Sunday nights on Bravo at 9/8c.
