The latest saga in the Sister Wives franchise, Look Back: How It Started, has been a fascinating glimpse into the Brown family’s inner thoughts, past and present. Of course, there’s always the question of honesty.
As Kody Brown confronts his past, a viewer has to wonder if he’s telling it as it is or trying to make himself look good. In most cases, it’s easier to believe the titular sister wives than it is to believe Kody.
For example, when Kody and Christine Brown reminisce about their relationship, which one is more likely to recount it straight? Well, that’s up to the viewers to decide. But this recent preview doesn’t make Kody look too good, truth-teller or not.
Kody calls Christine a “bitch” after reflecting on a fight
On December 25, Us Weekly shared an exclusive preview of the upcoming December 31 episode of Sister Wives: Look Back. In the preview, Kody said of Christine, “She called me a coward because I was never willing to break up with her. It’s because, well, you’re not really allowed.”
The clip saw Christine and Kody reacting to a conversation they had in 2021, in which Christine asked if Kody truly wanted to be married to her. Instead of answering, Kody returned the question. Christine said, “No, I don’t want to be married to you.”
In response, Kody simply said, “Nobody’s a prisoner here.” However, when reacting to the clip in 2023, Kody said, “I’m the prisoner here. I can’t just go, ‘Hey, bitch, I’m done with you.’” He admitted he was glad that Christine started the conversation because he “wasn’t in love with her.”
Christine, on the other hand, laughed at the clip, all too happy to see it. “That conversation felt so good in the end,” she said. When the conversation was over, she was glad that “he agreed I could go.” She further said, “That’s the day that I took my power and I stopped focusing on him.”
