Travis recalled his time on the show during a hosting slot on Saturday Night Live in March 2023. “It was kind of like The Bachelor,” he explained, “except instead of roses I handed out footballs. And instead of watching, people did not. It was a little embarrassing, but I got really good at reality TV.”
A whopping 50 women were vying for Travis’ attention on the 2016 E! reality series. In the end, Maya Benberry was selected as the winner. And for a while, she and Travis enjoyed a whirlwind romance. After a few months, however, it all came crashing down.
Despite that, the show wasn’t renewed for a second season. Probably because Travis doesn’t believe he was able to actually show his true self. “It was extremely awkward because I really didn’t have much to say about what we were doing on the show,” Travis explained on Shots Podcast Network. “At the end of the day, I don’t think I got portrayed as myself.”
“There were a lot of things that just made me uncomfortable about the show that I don’t necessarily really want to talk about because I don’t want to say anything about the ladies,” he added. “But I was asked to do more than I wanted to do and that doesn’t always work out great.”
