Love Is Blind Season 6 Star Chelsea Responds to Megan Fox Comparison Backlash

Love Is Blind Season 6 has been filled with noteworthy moments, but perhaps none more discussed up to this point than Chelsea Blackwell and her link to Megan Fox.

In the first batch of Season 6 episodes, Chelsea told her prospective partner that Megan Fox was her celebrity lookalike. However, she didn’t quite phrase it as such. Chelsea explained that multiple people told her she looked like the Hollywood superstar but she didn’t see it.

She also told her partner, Jimmy Presnell, not to “get excited.” Still, Jimmy felt lied to when he met Chelsea outside of the pods. Unfortunately for Chelsea, fans took the Megan Fox comparison and ran with it, roasting her for having said so.

After the LIB Season 6 premiere, Chelsea’s January 17 post promoting her run on the show was bombarded with jeering comments. “Is Meghan Fox in the room with us?” one user wrote. Another said, “Meghan fox from wish.” Neither of them seemed to care about how to actually spell Megan. With all these comments, another wrote, “Megan…I mean Chelsea love, just turn your comments off cause baby they eating you up!”

However, Chelsea had plenty of defenders as well. In a recent post, commenters pointed out that Chelsea denied her link to Fox. “You never said you look like her either. You said you don’t see it.” Other commenters said they did, in fact, see the resemblance between Chelsea and Megan. One fan said, “Here’s the thing, I see it and know exactly what you meant!”

Still, it seemed the comments had gotten to her. On February 19, Chelsea reposted a story from her friend, Presley Carter. The story shared that it was exciting to see Chelsea on TV, but “Also very hard because people are so mean here on the internet and take reality TV way too seriously.”

The story went on, “Here’s what people who are criticizing the cast [need] to understand … These are real people with feelings, and emotions. With families and friends reading the comments. We’re ALL imperfect.” Presley also added that the show’s editors “are great at their jobs” and create “drama and tell a narrative.”

Love is Blind Season 6, Episodes 1-6 are currently streaming on Netflix, with episodes 7-9 coming out on Wednesday, February 21.
