Love Undercover Trailer Shows Soccer Stars Searching for Love With Secret Identities

Peacock is at it again. They just dropped the trailer for their newest dating show, and we might have a new obsession on our hands. Their latest series is called Love Undercover.

With their latest entry into the dating subgenre, they’re taking five professional soccer players from all around the world, giving them secret identities, and sending them to Los Angeles to frolic with a bunch of single women. The women will have no idea they’re competing to fall in love with world-renowned soccer players.

The cast of Season 1 consists of five premiere league players, who have had bad luck with love. The cast includes Jamie O’Hara, Ryan Babel, Lloyd Jones, Marco Fabián, and Sebastián Fassi. In their countries, they’re megastars with fame and fortune. On Love Undercover, they’ll pretend to be regular dudes with normal jobs. They claim that their soccer fame has made it hard to date, and going undercover will give them a unique opportunity for women to see them for who they are and not what they have.

The single women competing are:

  • Abby Kowal
  • Akhya Mitchell
  • Alus
  • Ariana Welch
  • Brittany Gibson
  • Courtny Svendsen
  • Estefani Mendez
  • Gabby Findley
  • Jackie Jaramillo
  • Jackie Lam
  • Jacklyn Romano
  • Kai Hilbert
  • Renee Ash
  • Sinead Jenkins
  • Sofia Cajamarca
  • Sofia Quinteros
  • Sophia Cerrito
  • Tinah Ogalo

In the official synopsis of the show, Peacock teased an “epic journey filled with drama, heartbreak and self-discovery.” They compared the show to a “modern fairytale” mixed with a “buddy comedy.” Despite those lighthearted descriptors, the trailer shows a ton of drama.

In one scene, one of the ladies suspects that the men aren’t being truthful about their identities. She tells another contestant, “None of the men are being honest about who they are.”

In another clip, Jamie questions why he even signed up for the show in the first place. He remarked, “I’m actually questioning why I came.”

Before the soccer players leave their “fairy tale” trips to Hollywood, they have to come clean to the women about their true identities. How will the ladies react to being lied to the whole time? We’ll have to tune in to find out.

Love Undercover premieres on Peacock on Thursday, May 9.
