The era of the mullet is coming to an end. After a long journey with the controversial hairdo, Kyle Cooke has vowed to cut it off during the Summer House Season 8 reunion. From Kyle’s lips to Andy Cohen’s ears, he said he would make it happen.
He’s overdue for a haircut
The idea came to life during an episode of Watch What Happens Live. Major props to the viewer who submitted that question. When Andy floated it by Kyle, he was surprisingly down to cut it. He hardly even had to think about it.
Kyle joked, “You tell me, Andy. Do you own a sharp pair of scissors?”
Kyle has been trying to make this look happen for nearly two years. This haircut is long overdue, and cutting Kyle’s mullet on the reunion will probably add some much-needed levity. We know the drama between Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke will take center stage. Everyone is going to need a distraction after dissecting all of that.
On WWHL, Andy was immediately interested in the idea of cutting off the mullet. He’s been a vocal critic of Kyle’s hairdo for years. Kyle’s wife, Amanda Batula, will also be thankful. She called his hair one of her biggest “icks” about her husband.
All joking aside, Kyle revealed a touching reason why he would be willing to cut off the mullet. His grandmother recently passed away, and she wasn’t much of a fan of it, either. He wants to do right by her.
Kyle explained, “My grandmother passed away two weeks ago, and pretty much the last thing she said to me was she hates my hair.”
With that in mind, there’s no way he can turn back from cutting off the mullet. What kind of monster wouldn’t honor their grandma’s dying wish? So, stay tuned for the Summer House Season 8 reunion, and get ready to say goodbye to that mullet.
