Obviously, no one is looking for relationship advice from Danielle Olivera. That’s not stopping her from dishing it out. In the Summer House Season 8 midseason trailer, there’s a clip of her criticizing Paige DeSorbo and her relationship with Craig Conover. That didn’t make sense to us, and it didn’t make sense to Amanda Batula.
In the trailer, Danielle told Paige that she was giving Craig “nothing” in their relationship. That came after Paige had spent the whole season discussing how she and Craig were in a stalemate. She doesn’t want to move to Charleston and he doesn’t want to move to New York.
Amanda felt ‘shocked’ by the unsolicited feedback
In a new interview with Page Six, Amanda reacted to the midseason trailer and said she felt “shocked” by Danielle’s criticism of Paige. Luckily, Paige was a little too tipsy in that moment to fully comprehend what Danielle said. Amanda, on the other hand, felt taken aback. She felt like it contradicted everything that Danielle usually preaches about relationships.
Amanda explained, “I’m shocked that, you know, that was said, especially for Danielle being such an independent woman and having conservations about not depending on a man, never combining finances, all this stuff. I’m shocked that she didn’t see Paige as being independent.”
She continued, “Like, why would she follow Craig to Charleston? That goes up against everything Danielle’s ever thought about.”
Of course, this topic is a legitimate issue in Paige’s relationship. They just don’t want to hear Danielle’s opinion on it. Earlier in the season, Craig admitted to Kyle Cooke that he wouldn’t be surprised if they split because of the long distance.
Craig said, “She lives in New York City, she loves New York. I love Charleston, I run a company out of Charleston. It’s very probable. You’d be naive to be like, ‘It’s all just gonna work out.’”
