Savannah Chrisley Discusses Parents’ Appeal Process; ‘Other Avenues’ To Take

Savannah Chrisley isn’t losing hope, but she’s prepared to face another challenge in case her parents’ oral appeals don’t work in their favor.

The Chrisley Knows Best alum told listeners of her podcast, Unlocked, that she’s trying to “stay as positive” as she can regarding her parents’ appeal process. “I try to educate myself. It’s just so hard knowing that it could not go in our direction,” she explained. “That’s a tough pill to swallow.”

Savannah and her family will explore other alternatives if their appeal is denied…

It’s been over a year since Todd and Julie Chrisley began prison sentences for their role in defrauding local banks and the government out of millions of dollars. Of course, the family has maintained their innocence, and Savannah has led the charge to get them home.

She’s been open about possibly being reunited with her parents by this summer, but during her podcast, she said things may not go her way. In fact, “if it doesn’t go our direction, we have other avenues to take,” she said.

She continued, saying, “Once again, like, super grateful for that, that there are other avenues due to how our trial played out that we could take to get a new trial or to, you know, just hopefully get them out early.”

“So, when it comes to the appeal, that’s kind of where we’re at.”

This isn’t the first time Savannah has spoken publicly about the situation her parents found themselves in. As we said, she’s taken on the role of the family’s “head honcho” while her parents are away.

The Chrisley’s lawyer, Jay Surgent, revealed she “believes [her parents] were singled out” due to their fame.

However, that’s not stopping her from doing everything she can to fight for them while they’re behind bars. Their appeal hearing is set for April 19, 2024. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the news as soon as we find out.
