Welcome to the recap for Part 2 of The Valley Season 3 reunion. Last time, Lacy called Michelle a liar. And Brittany discussed her broken picker. Here’s what happened in The Valley Season 3 Episode 20: “Reunion Part 2.”
What happened in The Valley Season 3 Episode 20?
Kristen and Luke addressed their relationship issues. Meanwhile, Kristen reacted to the way that Danny spoke to Nia. And Janet and Danny shared a moment of understanding.
Michelle discusses Jesse’s financial woes in The Valley
Host Andy Cohen asked Jesse about the $300,000 SBA loan. According to Jesse, everything that Michelle told Lala about the loan during their Season 3 hike “was a lie.”
Michelle explained that Jesse didn’t want to talk about the loan. “Well, you were a cheater and liar, so,” Jesse told Michelle. When Lala told Jesse he should stop calling his ex “a liar,” he responded that “she should stop lying.”
“I’m not lying. You got a $300,000 loan. You put it in your personal account,” Michelle said. “Please, for the love of God, show everybody where that $3000,000 is.”
Next, Andy asked Jesse about not being able to pay $200 for Isabella’s health insurance. He added that Michelle hinted on Watch What Happens Live that “she was paying most of the household expenses.”
Then, Lacy jumped in. “You’re also insinuating … that I’m paying for him. Like, I would rather light myself on fire than pay for a man,” Lacy stated. “It’s just not my vibe.”
However, Michelle didn’t back down about Jesse’s money troubles. She insisted that ballet contacted her because his credit card was declined. Andy pointed out that his card was also declined during an episode.
“It did,” Jesse said. “I’ve never heard of Chase fraud alert when you travel to a foreign country.” Supposedly, Jesse’s financial woes were behind him, as he just moved into a new house.
Unlike Michelle, Lacy has never witnessed Jesse’s money problems. “I’ve never experienced that with him, and he’s never asked me for money,” Lacy explained.
Then she said that “it’s completely misogynistic” for women on the show to say that she was bankrolling her boyfriend. Lacy explained that she felt that some of the cast accused her of “using him to be on the show.”
Will Zack and Benji stay together in The Valley?
Next, Zack gave an update on living with his boyfriend, Benji. While Benji is finally divorced, he wanted a definitive deadline of one year to start the surrogacy process. This date would fall in January, and Zack’s “just not there yet.”
Meanwhile, Andy asked Lala about co-parenting with her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett. “We can’t communicate unless it’s through that app, because it’s high conflict,” she explained, adding that he lives in Miami. “I wish he were a little bit further, somewhere else, where he can’t get out, but in due time.” Oh, the shade!
Kristen and Luke give a relationship update in The Valley
Luke and Kristen agreed that their sex life was better now than during filming. “There was a lot of postpartum depression and rage. And rage was something I wasn’t familiar with,” Kristen explained. Andy quipped, “You were not familiar with rage?” Vanderpump Rules viewers would beg to differ.
Kristen replied, “Postpartum rage.” Then Andy asked Luke, “If you would have waited until after the pregnancy, do you think you still would have proposed?”
Luke responded, “That’s a hard thing to try to, you know, make up in my mind.” He stated, “I wouldn’t break up with her.” I’m not getting a good feeling about this romance being endgame.
While she appreciated her man’s honesty, Kristen added, “Obviously, not super fun to hear.” When asked if they were happy, Kristen’s reaction was more enthusiastic than Luke’s. “Yikes,” Jasmine murmured.
Of course, Andy asked for an update about the wedding. “He’s asking if you still want to marry me,” Kristen said. “I’m not breaking off the engagement,” Luke responded.
After Andy asked about a second baby, Kristen mentioned seeing her fertility specialist, or finding another “if we don’t live here.” When Andy inquired about moving to Colorado, Kristen said, “God no, not Colorado.” She added, “I love the ranch. But we’re not going to live there full time. It’s the middle of nowhere.” And Luke didn’t look pleased.
Then, Andy brought up a telling moment. When Luke and Kristen were asked to be on WWHL, Luke wanted to go alone, telling Andy’s producers that he wanted to go solo because “he needed a break.”
The plan was for Luke’s mom to come to NYC to watch Kaia, and Luke claimed that Kristen wanted to hang out in the hotel room. “He said, ‘I want to go to dinner, and I want to enjoy New York. And I can’t enjoy New York if you and Kaia are there,’” Kristen stated. YIKES! As Kristen dabbed her eyes, Luke apologized.
Was Danny “a monster” in The Valley?
Back to the feud between the Capernas and the Bookos. Danny didn’t appreciate Janet comparing him to Charles Manson. She claimed that she didn’t mean to compare him to the serial killer. She explained that she didn’t have to “see it with my own eyes.”
Janet stated, “Just because it didn’t happen to me doesn’t mean I can’t be affected by it. Knowing that you put your hands on somebody made me very uncomfortable with you moving forward, especially while you were still drinking.”
Nia still called out the “more malicious intent of your words to try to hurt him.” According to Danny, he didn’t have many incidents of being drunk during Season 3. Later, Nia and Danny addressed their struggles raising four under four. They now have an au pair who lives with them, which allows the couple to spend more time on their relationship.
Naturally, Andy mentioned two moments during the season when Nia was trying to eat. At the time, Danny acted like a jerk when she asked for help with their baby. “I was a complete nightmare,” Danny admitted. He also blamed lack of sleep and stress about being with Janet and Jason for his actions.
“My reaction to seeing Danny talk to Nia the way that he did a couple of times on the show was something I’ve never seen before,” Kristen admitted, “and I was really disappointed.” Next, Andy wondered if the viewers were seeing what life was like behind closed doors in the Booko home.
Lala chimed in, stating that Danny “seemed very comfortable speaking to her that way” and Nia “seemed to really know how to deal with it.” When Danny’s behavior towards Nia at the drag pageant came up, Kristen weighed in. “When I watched it back, I was f*cking horrified,” she remarked.
“I was a monster,” Danny admitted. “I should never have talked to my wife that way.”
Janet and Danny share a moment in The Valley
Andy read a fan question for Danny, asking if Danny could “empathize with what Janet has been through” after he received hate from viewers this season. “Absolutely. So, I saw it, I felt it, I … I cried about it,” Danny stated. “It was … a lot.”
An emotional Janet asked for a tissue as he continued. “I do want to apologize to Janet … of all the stuff that you experienced with that,” he said. Then, Danny apologized for reposting and “liking” social media posts. “Looking back, I’m really sorry for doing that,” Danny stated.
“I appreciate that,” Janet said softly. “And I’m sorry you went through it, too.”
When asked how she felt about Danny experiencing backlash from viewers, Janet explained, “It’s really dark. And I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody.” She added, “Wishing hate and death and slurs and things like that.”
Surprisingly, Lala stood up for Danny about his drinking. “To see a group of people who go to him and have a problem with his behavior when he’s drinking. But then they tell him, ‘But drink as much as you want,’” she said.
Andy wondered if Danny’s behavior would have been different in situations like getting ready for the drag pageant if he hadn’t been drinking. Danny responded that since filming wrapped, he has “never been that intoxicated again.”
Brittany murmured, “Jesse needs to bring up the wedding. I heard that he was doing some crazy sh*t.”
When Andy asked Danny if he was imbibing at Jasmine’s wedding, he responded, “No.” However, Jesse seemed reluctant to spill the tea, as “To Be Continued” flashed on the screen.
