Remember how Brittany Cartwright was planning on opening a bar called Britt’s WeHo? Well, forget all about it. It’s not happening. The word on the street is that the deal fell through, and The Valley star won’t be opening a bar after all. Pour one out for what could have been.
Brittany Cartwright was excited to open her own bar
Following the success of Jax Taylor’s establishment, Jax’s Studio City, Brit announced that she was also venturing into the bar business as a “part owner” with the partners who helped Jax. For Brit, it felt like a step in the right direction after helping Jax launch his place.
Brit teased that she’d be opening doors sometime in March 2025. She found a space right down the street from SUR, and they were working on renovating the space. Sadly, things have completely fallen apart.
According to a report from The U.S. Sun, the property managers terminated Brittany’s deal to lease the space. Instead, new business owners are occupying the space and moving forward with a completely different concept.
Before you start dropping negative reviews for the new restaurant, an insider noted that the people taking over the space had nothing to do with Brittany’s deal falling apart.
“Britt’s WeHo was never part of the deal with a new team taking over and they do not have any plans to open it in the future,” an insider explained.
The source continued, “Unfortunately, she just got caught in the crosshairs of a business decision.”
During the April 4, 2025 episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany confirmed the news that the bar wouldn’t be moving forward. She said she was far into the planning process, but the property managers decided to move in a different direction. They sold the entire building, leaving her without any options.
“I understand it’s their decision, whatever they want to do. I was honored to be asked to do it anyway,” she said.
