Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may be trying to move forward with a clean slate after finalizing their divorce for the sake of their kids. The former couple blended their family when they tied the knot in 2022. As a result, their kids from their respective past marriages formed a close bond over time. Lopez shares her twins, Max and Emme Muniz, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. Meanwhile, Affleck has three children — Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel — from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.
Unfortunately, Lopez and Affleck’s marriage lasted only two years. However, they are now reportedly doing what they can to put the split drama behind them for their kids. In Touch exclusively learned from a source that the former couple “are both very sensitive to the fact that [J. Lo’s] twins Max and Emme are very close to Ben’s kids.” According to the source, Emme and Fin, one of Affleck’s kids, formed an “especially strong bond.”
Lopez and Affleck “agreed to do what it takes to get on better terms” as “they have a responsibility to nurture” their kids’ bond. The source also shared that the old flames were “genuinely friends” before “they got back together.” According to the insider, Lopez and Affleck would “they’d love to get back to that.” The Hollywood A-listers were first romantically linked in the early 2000s but called it off in 2004. Almost two decades later, Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021. However, they parted ways again for the second time.
Meanwhile, it appears Lopez is now moving on following her divorce from Affleck. Recently, the 55-year-old singer was spotted hand in hand with her co-star Brett Goldstein. The two were photographed while shooting for “Office Romance” in New Jersey.
