Brittany Cartwright Breaks Silence on Bar Being Canceled

Everything happens for a reason, which is why Brittany Cartwright isn’t crying over her botched plans to open a bar. The Valley star was in the works to launch her own business called Britt’s WeHo. Then, things suddenly fell apart when the property owner decided to go in a different direction. Now, she’s looking back on how things played out, and she’s no longer mourning what could have been.

Brittany spoke to Bravo’s The Daily Dish about the death of Britt’s WeHo. She confirmed that it all came down to the property owners. Her business partners sold the entire building, including the space for Britt’s WeHo.

“[The partners] sold it out from underneath me without me knowing,” Brittany explained. “They kind of like screwed me over a little bit there.”

With that said Brittany called the move a “blessing in disguise” based on some advice she heard from her Vanderpump Rules costar, Tom Schwartz. After recently closing his business, Schwartz and Sandy’s, he’s been warning his friends to never put their name on a bar.

“[Tom’s] like, ‘I would never put my name on a bar again.’ And he kept telling me that even before [Britt’s WeHo was announced],” Brittany explained. “So I was like, OK, you know, that sucks.”

Brittany said she had already picked out the wallpaper, the seat coverings, and all of the other fun stuff that comes with launching a bar. Then, it all went away in a flash.

“I mean, literally, everything was ordered and done. So it was all kind of a shock to me,” she admitted.

Although Brittany is no longer entering the bar business, she said she’s got plenty of opportunities coming down the pipeline. She’s feeling good about where her career is headed.

“I’ve shot a couple of commercials and things that haven’t come out yet that I’ve already done,” Brittany teased. “But, yeah, there’s a lot of things I’m looking forward to. And who knows? Maybe something better will come along.”

The Valley airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
