On Saturday, Kelly Clarkson recalled an incident where she almost ended up in a “fight” with the HR department of her popular talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Page Six reported that while performing at the Hard Rock Live in Atlantic City, the singer admitted that she wishes others to compliment her about her weight loss. However, this mindset did not sit well with her show’s human resources team. The “American Idol” star recalled “nearly getting in a fight” with them.
As per the news outlet, after Clarkson thanked a member of the audience for calling her “sexy,” she said, “They … say you’re not allowed to say someone looks attractive, and I say f— that.” The singer explained that according to the HR department, when an individual acknowledges somebody’s weight loss, it “might make people feel bad that they looked bad before.” However, Clarkson believes otherwise. She added, “I was fat before, so I’m saying I want you to say, ‘Damn. … Well done.'”
Kelly Clarkson, who “felt very confident” after her weight loss, also clarified that she did not find anything “wrong” with her figure before losing the weight. The Grammy winner added, “I felt fine both ways, but I’m just saying it’s a lot more fun with clothes now. I’ve been working on it.”
