When American Idolfirst started, people were enamored by the talent of the first winner Kelly Clarkson, but what really put the show on the map were the bad auditions and harsh criticisms. Original cast member Simon Cowell became a household name as a judge thanks to his comments about the “bad” performances.
Even though American Idoljust had its series finale in 2016, there is a revival on the way which no one asked for. The show is on a different network and instead of judges that were on the previous seasons, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan are up for the task. Ryan Seacrest is back to host and the format of the show seems relatively the same, but this time there will be no bad auditions.
American Idol has come to an end… for now… and I, for one, am sad. Last night, Trent Harmon was named the Season 15 winner, and the “bookend” toKelly Clarkson. Today, both Trent and La’Porsha Renae signed major record deals, however. Both well deserved.
As an American Idol super fan (and I’m not ashamed to admit it), I loved every minute of the finale, though I did feel a little bad for this season’s finalists, who were reduced to singing backup and rolling a gift for Ryan Seacrest onto the stage. Instead of the usual finalist & artist pairings, we were treated to non-stop performances by past American Idol contestants, including Chris Daughtry,Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, and more. Sadly, a very pregnant Kelly wasn’t able to attend, but she did pre-tape a medley of her greatest hits, ending with an acappella “A Moment Like This.”
While some reality TV stars make a huge production out of going to church on Easter <cough-Jenners-cough-Kardashians-cough> for the paps, others enjoy quality time with family. Of course, they are still reality stars, so they share pics on social media. Here is a roundup of our favorite pictures from the weekend.

And we would not have it any other way. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite snapshots and selfies from this week. Enjoy.
Above: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster shared this “vault,” adding, “The vault was not a threat but rather a reminder that I know a lot of things about all the cast members that I would never dare to expose! The vault in my culture means: a safe and vulnerable place in our hearts where we share a certain integrity and keep our friends well being as our first priority. I don’t feel the need to share private matters of other women or their families because I care for them as human beings. Exposing private matters to the public would just make me feel like a distrustful human being. We don’t need to put others down in order to build ourselves up. I am not interested in competing with anyone. I hope we’re all successful…. in whatever our personal journey might be…. #RHOBH #TheVault #EnoughIsEnough #DrawingALineInTheSand.”
