Life after Bravo is going well for Amrit Kapai and Nicholas Kouchoukos. The Family Karma stars just revealed that they’re welcoming their first baby! They shared the news via Instagram along with their dog, Theodore, and it’s cuteness overload. Check out their announcement below.
Amrit Kapai and Nicholas Kouchoukos are expecting their first baby
In 2024, Amrit and Nicholas shared that they were planning on growing their family. They traveled to Colombia to start their surrogacy journey, documenting the process via social media since Bravo has kept their show on pause since 2023.
The last time we heard from them, they were still settling on a surrogate. However, the couple shared in an Instagram post that their surrogate is expecting. There’s a baby on the way, and in an interview with People, Amrit said that it felt “surreal.”
“It was so surreal to hear the news we had been anticipating for so long,” he shared. “Each of us has wanted to be a father as long as we both can remember. Knowing our dream is coming to life puts an ear-to-ear grin on our faces.”
At this point, they don’t know the sex of the baby, but Amrit previously said he wanted a girl. He said he wanted to put her in “pretty dresses,” and frankly, we appreciate the honesty. Either way, he said they’re already brainstorming names.
“Candidly, we’re still navigating through the last name conundrum,” Amrit admitted. “As for our baby’s first name, we’re going to stay away from traditional American and Indian names, and likely choose something that fuses the two cultures. We’re also leaning towards a shorter name.”
Amrit and Nicholas are hoping to have multiple children via surrogacy. This announcement is just the first step in their big plan. We’re wishing them the best of luck on this journey, and we know that fatherhood will look great on these two.
