Kelly Clarkson Show Staff Worried About ‘Collapse’ Amid Uncertain Times — Report

The staff at The Kelly Clarkson Show are all nervously updating their resumes because they’re concerned about their job security. You would be, too, if the namesake of the show mysteriously missed a bunch of episodes of the show with zero explanation.

This season, Kelly Clarkson has missed more episodes of her show than you can count on both hands, and a new report suggests that she could exit the daytime space altogether when her contract ends in 2026. Allegedly, the situation has her staffers fearful of a “collapse.”

According to a damning report from Page Six, rumors are swirling around The Kelly Clarkson Show studio that the American Idol alum is getting ready to bounce and move onto her next chapter. That would leave dozens of employees without work, and a staffer alleged that there’s a lot of chatter and uneasiness in the office because of it.

“Not feeling too stable,” a staffer said of the current workplace dynamic. “She could bolt at any time. Where does that leave me?”

The stressed-out staffer said that “everyone loves Kelly,” so they’re not necessarily mad that she might be ready to move on to something else. They’re just concerned that they won’t be able to pay their bills once she gets done cosplaying as a talk show host.

NBCUniversal owns The Kelly Clarkson Show. An insider close to the network said there’s a long list of names that could replace Kelly. One of the biggest names floating around is Hoda Kotb. She recently stepped away from her 17-year run at The Today Show. She already has a strong relationship with the network and an understanding of what it takes to succeed in daytime.

“Maybe Hoda would be a better boss,” a Kelly Clarkson Show staffer theorized.“ I know she’s universally beloved and respected by her former coworkers. Maybe she would be good. She sure would be a lot more stable than what we’ve been going through.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show airs on weekdays on over 200 stations.
