After months and months of pleading and praying, Donald Trump has issued full pardons to both Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley. Their combined 19-year prison sentence for a million-dollar tax fraud scheme is coming to an end. Begging works.
Donald Trump called Savannah Chrisley to share the news of her parents’ pardons

In 2022, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch received a 12-year prison sentence for his role in the scam, and Julie earned seven years. The pair fought to try to have their cases revisited through the appellate process. When that didn’t work, the family shifted their sights to a pardon. It turns out that their years of support for Trump paid off in a major way.
On May 27, 2025, Trump called Savannah Chrisley on the phone to let her know that he was issuing a full pardon to her parents. That means they could be coming home literally anytime. With the swipe of a pen, the trajectory of their lives changed, once again.
“It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump said to Savannah and Grayson Chrisley on the phone call. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow … I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good luck.”
Savannah reacted to the news via Instagram, donning a white and gold “Make America Great Again” hat. After dedicating the last two years to trying to reverse her parents’ sentences, she’s obviously on cloud nine that her parents finally got a Get Out of Jail Free card.
“I have shed so many tears,” she said. “The President called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents. So, both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow. I still don’t believe it’s real. I’m freaking out.”
Chase Chrisley, who recently got arrested for assaulting a bar manager, is thanking God for the latest update in his parents’ case. In a statement to People, he said he felt excited for the family to be reunited after two long years.
“I am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration,” Chase said. “I’m beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!”
Of course, the news of this pardon couldn’t have come at a better time for the Chrisley family. Lifetime just greenlit a new series following the family’s new chapter. Initially, Todd and Julie were only going to be featured through recordings of prison phone calls. Now, it looks like their schedules have just freed up.
Chrisley Knows Best is streaming on Peacock.
