Mirror, mirror on the wall, are the Bookos the fakest of them all? As Season 2 of The Valley has gotten underway, Nia Booko and Danny Booko have had their feet held to the fire regarding their marriage. It seems the group, aka the ladies, are tired of feeling like the beauty queen is holding back.
Is Nia Booko hiding marriage issues with Danny Booko?
During a tumultuous trip to Santa Barbara, Nia discovered what her friends really thought of her. After Danny drank a little too much and found he needed to sleep through dinner, he was in the dog house. Janet Caperna and Brittany Cartwright led the charge when it came to insinuating that the voice-over actor had a drinking problem. Brittany also mentioned she had heard Nia lose her cool with her husband on the Uber ride home. To the group, the Bookos don’t come across as genuine. However, the pair took to The Valley: After Show to share their side.
Nia told cameras, “We’re not perfect, but we do our best not to speak negatively of each other. If we have an issue, we talk about it [and we aren’t] like, ‘Oh let me tell Kristen all this crap about Daniel.’” The couple presents a united front. The mother of three added, “Do you want me to not be there for my husband? Do you want him to not be there for me? Do you want him to talk trash about me when I got mad about something?” Nia became heated as she asked, “Do you want me to go and rant about that and try to make him look like a bad guy when he’s not a bad guy?” As viewers learned, neither Nia nor Danny are going to openly talk about one another for ratings.
The Valley has other toxic couples
Let’s face it. There are way more toxic couples currently on The Valley. Jax Taylor and Brittany are a pair. The two have refused to hold back their opinions of one another as they navigate their divorce. Jax has spied on his wife through at home cameras. And Brittany shared she wished her husband had gone to jail. Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei are also not putting their best foot forward. Michelle has thrown water in her soon-to-be ex-husband’s face. And Jesse has basically called her a high-end escort.
Then we have Janet and Jason Caperna. These two are odd in their own way. After Janet accused Danny of having a drinking problem. The lawyer seemed to double down on his wife’s claims. Personally, the only normal couple at times seems to be Nia and Danny. In his segment, Danny added, “We actually love and respect each other and don’t throw each other under the bus. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. Just watch the first summer. Were we not vulnerable?” The child actor pointed out, “Just because it wasn’t maybe as toxic as most other relationships and how they handle their things, they tried to put a target on us and say, ‘You guys aren’t being real.’”
Nia Booko and Danny Booko are good couple goals
If I were watching the show and looking for a married couple to look up to, Nia and Danny would win the honor hands down. What I like best about Nia and Danny is their unwavering support of one another. Nia drove that point home as she shared, “If I’ve had moments where I’m in a place where I’ve had too much to drink and I’m not at my best, I want Daniel to be like, ‘We’re gonna go.’ We are each other’s partners. We are there for each other.” Both make an effort to protect one another, and that is what couples should always try to do.
I also appreciate how they handle their private issues behind closed doors. Not everything is up for debate, even when it comes to starring on a reality TV show. According to the beauty queen “We are trying to be true to who we are and how we operate, but then we get called out for being fake or hiding things or doing it for the cameras when it’s like, I would be being fake to then sit in front of the girls and talk trash on Daniel. That would be fake of me because that’s not how I operate.” I hope Danny and Nia stay true to themselves and don’t succumb to peer pressure to act like some of the other toxic couples do.
