Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives showed Taylor Frankie Paul’s relationship with Dakota Mortensen unraveling. Their relationship had always seemed a bit rocky. The duo started dating on the heels of Taylor’s soft swinging scandal. In March 2024, the couple welcomed a son, Ever True. However, when Taylor learned during the Season 1 finale that Dakota had cheated on her when they started dating, her world came crashing down.
Dakota Mortensen sets the record straight on Taylor Frankie Paul relationship post-split
During the Season 2 premiere, Taylor shared that she and Dakota have been happy living with baby Ever. “And then I learned that he was lying this entire time,” she stated. Taylor met with Jenna, the woman that Dakota had cheated with, and looked at Jenna’s phone. While Dakota claimed that Jenna was begging to hang out with him, it was actually Dakota pursuing her. And worse yet, Dakota would take Jenna on dates during the day and only see Taylor at night. Oof.
Recently, Taylor shared an update about her relationship status with Dakota. After the couple separated, Dakota issued Taylor an ultimatum, and she ended their relationship. “There was some betrayal. We’re just trying to both heal individually and get to a better spot,” Taylor explained, “because I think together, obviously, we couldn’t get there.”
Now, Dakota recently appeared on The Viall Files podcast and shared some details about the lies that he told. Oh, the lies! “I was so afraid of how much I liked Taylor and how afraid I was of her, and knowing that I didn’t know really what she wanted, or if this could even be a thing,” Dakota stated of the early days of their romance. He also added that he knew that Taylor was “still talking to the man she had an affair with.”
Then, podcast hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy asked Dakota how many lies Taylor believed, and he said the total was four. However, only two lies were linked to the time that they were in a relationship. Dakota added that one of the lies was “really fresh right now.” However, he didn’t spill any more tea about it.
