You might have seen a fake statement floating around last week that made it seem like Carl Radke quit Summer House. That’s definitely not happening, and he confirmed that he’s coming back for Season 10. However, if you fell for the bogus story, don’t feel too bad because you’re in good company. Andy Cohen fell for it, too.
Carl Radke is not leaving Summer House
Andy shared his hilarious story during the Monday, June 9 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. He explained how he spoke to a bunch of Summer House producers while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. They filled him in about everyone who was coming back for Season 10 and teased the “connections” between some of next season’s cast.
With that in mind, you can only imagine Andy’s surprise when he saw a statement from “Carl” the next day announcing his departure from the show. The phony post made it sound like Carl walked away from reality TV to focus on his mental health.
Although Andy had just been told otherwise by the Summer House producers, he took what he saw on social media as a fact and ran with it. He said he texted Carl with some words of support.
Andy recalled. “I immediately texted Carl and said, ‘Hey man, congratulations on a great run,’ and he goes, ‘What are you talking about?’”
“Now, I’m sure it was jarring for him at eight in the morning to get a thing from me saying ‘Hi, you’re gone, bye, congrats,’” Andy added.
Obviously, Carl felt confused, but he and Andy quickly realized it was a baseless rumor. It all clicked, and Carl quickly released a statement to deny the rumors about his Summer House exit.
“I look forward to spending the summer in the Hamptons with my friends,” Carl confirmed over the weekend. “I will very much be a part of season 10!”
In Andy’s defense, the fake statement from Carl did look pretty convincing. It had a black background and white text, which reality stars love to use when they announce something major. However, Carl’s not going anywhere. The only Season 9 cast members who have confirmed they’re leaving the show are Paige DeSorbo and Lexi Wood.
Summer House is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
