We didn’t necessarily need to hear any further details about Christine Brown’s sex life with her ex-husband, Kody Brown. However, since we received this information, it’s now our duty to pass it on to you. We can all cringe together as followers of the Sister Wives universe.
As a reminder, Christine became the first woman on the long-running TLC show to leave he plural marriage. That happened in 2021, and since then, everything has fallen apart. Kody is down to only one wife, Robyn Brown. Nothing is the same, but for Christine, the writing was on the wall for a while.
Christine and Kody Brown’s sex life had something missing
During the June 8 episode of Sister Wives: One on One, Christine reflected on her life as a sister wife. Apparently, she knew their marriage had issues because their sex was emotionless. Unsurprisingly, that shift happened after Robyn came into the picture.
“For a long time, it was just fun, and it was just a blast. You know, we just had a lot of good times,” Christine began.
She continued. “When he married Robyn, that’s where I was like, ‘Oh, there definitely is something missing here.’ But at that point … it was already so almost over anyway.”
According to Christine, she felt physically “taken care of” by Kody at the beginning of their marriage. As things evolved, she said their sexual interactions felt less like intimacy and more like a “marital obligation.”
“The sex was never … God, it was just so broken,” Christine admitted.
Christine said that the emotionless and broken sex was felt from both sides. However, neither of them ever wanted to address it. That is, until one day when Christine decided to confront Kody about their lack of intimacy. That conversation went about as well as you’d expect.
“So we had one conversation on intimacy, and it was like, are we going to have any kind of intimacy, sex in our marriage? And he was like, no,” Christine revealed. “And so the next time you come over, I’m like, you’re done. You’re not staying here anymore. I don’t want you in my bed. We’re done.”
These days, Christine has put her troubled life with Kody in the past. She met a man named David Woolley, and they tied the knot in October 2023. Although Christine didn’t say for sure, we’ve got a feeling they’re having sex more than five times a year.
