Selling Sunset Alum Christine Quinn’s Divorce Gets Ugly — Details

Unfortunately, Christine Quinn’s divorce isn’t getting any easier. The Selling Sunset alum has spent the last year battling with her estranged husband, Christian Richard, whose legal name is Christian Dumontet.

Their marriage fell apart in 2024 after the police showed up at their home to respond to a domestic disturbance. Christine accused him of throwing a glass object at her and accidentally hitting their son. A few weeks later, Christian filed for divorce, and he’s now accusing Christine of “stonewalling” the proceedings.

Christine Quinn could face sanctions after alleged “gamesmanship” during divorce

In a June 6 court filing reviewed by Us Weekly, Christian demanded that Christine be sanctioned for failing to respond to a series of questions from his lawyer. Allegedly, Christine failed to “respond to the most basic discovery” and provided “boilerplate objections without any substantive responses.”

Some of the questions that Christian wanted answered involve Christine’s finances. He wanted to know information about any third parties who have “supported” her in the past 12 months, in addition to details about who she shares her home with. He also requested three years of her tax documents with specific details on her assets and debts.

Christine, who is representing herself, refused to answer those questions because she said it “appears to be an attempt by [Christian] to look for, continue to monitor, or keep [her] under surveillance.” This is a claim she’s made about him throughout the divorce, which previously prompted her to seek a restraining order.

Christian, however, argued that Christine had no basis to deny these requests. In the motion, he said that Christine was preventing him from being able to “fairly and effectively” navigate the divorce. He’s asking the court to force her hand.

His motion asked the court to “put an end to the gamesmanship by compelling [Christine] to provide complete responses within 30 days and by ordering [Christine] to pay [sanctions].”

The court-ordered penalty would be in the amount of $5,590, but no decisions have been made on the matter. In the meantime, Christine is busy filming Season 3 of House of Villains.

Selling Sunset is streaming on Netflix.
