Why Jax Taylor Needs To Be Axed From The Valley — Opinion

Before his latest TV stint, it had been years since Jax Taylor had been on our small screens. In the beginning, he was okay at best, but a clear villain. As time went on, he showed his colors more and more. Eventually, he was put on hold by Bravo due to his questionable behavior. Then, The Valley welcomed him back with open arms after being told he had turned over a new leaf. Unfortunately, The Valley Season 2 is showing fans that Jax has not improved and, if anything, may have gotten worse.

Jax Taylor’s therapist admitted he manipulated staff during The Valley Season 2 Episode 9

During the most recent episode, Brittany Cartwright opened up about the fact that Jax lied about being taken to the hospital. Jax had claimed he thought he might be suffering from a heart attack and revealed he had high blood pressure.

In the episode, Brittany revealed that his therapist was forced to call her and admit he had lied. The fib was so bad that he was even accused of upsetting the front desk receptionist after he asked her to lie on his behalf. It was alleged that he had told her that if anyone were to call for him, she was supposed to tell the caller he had been rushed to the ER.

During The Valley: After Show, Jax claimed he did not lie. He stated, “I mean, I’m good, but I’m not that good. They test you. How do you fake a heart attack? They have to put the devices on you and all that.”

The father of one then added, “I had to sign a document saying I’m not gonna go. But, no, I can’t manipulate a facility. That’s kind of crazy.” But Jax is like the boy who cried wolf. No one believes his story, and some are calling for him to be fired.

Jax Taylor was aggressive toward Brittany Cartwright

It almost seemed like Jax was bragging about his reputation. He stated, “I mean, I’ve been known to manipulate some people, that’s for sure, but I don’t understand. I don’t know how I could manipulate nurses. That’s pretty serious.”

Jax’s manipulative and aggressive behavior isn’t new. But it’s scary that the network is allowing him to get away with it. During The Valley Season 2 premiere, fans learned that Brittany was hurt in a fit of rage. And that was scary news.

Jax had told the cameras, “It’s not going well. She’s in a rental and we’re allowed to date other people. I mean, it’s so toxic. It’s so broken.” But the Kentucky native had a lot more to say. Brittany shared, “I thought that we might be heading in the right direction and be able to work on our marriage but then all hell broke loose. That completely changed everything.”

Jax had become irate after finding sexy photos. “He flipped the coffee table and it hit my knee. It turned black immediately,” Brittany alleged. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God.’ I’m like, screaming crying. It was terrifying.” Not to mention their son Cruz was in the house. Disgusting behavior.

There’s no place for Jax’s behavior on Bravo

At some point, ratings are just ratings. Characters like Jax have been given more than one chance, and it’s time to say enough is enough. If the aggressive behavior weren’t enough, surely the stalking would raise some red flags.

Brittany has called her husband out more than once about watching her on the cameras. I mean, that’s creepy. But Jax always defends his bad behavior. He noted, “I was in a bad place, man. I was in the rehab, and I couldn’t do anything. You guys were all having a great time, and I’m stuck in this frickin’ facility. All I had was my phone. Of course, I’m gonna look at the cameras. Like, who wouldn’t? It’s part of going through this messy divorce.”

Jax is more than happy to play mind games even if it hurts the ones he claims to love. Finally, Brittany filed for divorce after he shared that their home was in foreclosure. Personally, I don’t know how Jax still has a job with Bravo. He has been given a platform and has profited from his bad behavior for years. Enough is enough. If other Bravolebs have been fired for lesser infractions, Jax should be kicked to the curb for The Valley Season 2 alone.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
