According to Page Six, a source blamed the singer for the split, claiming the reason was Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin’s wedding date. They said, “She was sick of him dragging his feet on setting a date for the wedding.” Previously, an insider told The U.S. Sun another reason for their break-up, claiming it to be their age gap. Johnson, 35, and Martin, 48, apparently tried to work on their relationship for years, but “things were just never lining up for them and it was very up and down.”
Although Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin had an on-again, off-again relationship, their split surprised fans. Earlier this year, the actor accompanied her then-beau to India for Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres World Tour.” At the time, reports suggested the two were a happy couple.
