As we all know, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island is on its way. Aside from learning the title, though, there’s not much else to go off of. Bravo has kept a tight lip on sharing who will make up its inaugural cast. There are quite a few famous people from Rhode Island to choose for the job. And, one name that was apparently in the casting mix was none other than Matt Fraser.
He is a well-known psychic medium who had a short-lived reality show called Meet The Frasers. The series followed his daily life and relationship with his now-wife Alexa Fraser (then Papigiotis). The happy couple have continued to show fans their journey with their two sons on social media. But, according to the pair, they were just asked to make a comeback to TV after five years away.

Both Matt and Alexa were recently guests on David Yontef’s Behind the Velvet Rope podcast. It was during the segment that Matt shockingly revealed that they were scouted to join the cast of RHORI, but declined.
“They kept coming back to us and wanting us to be on. And I told them, ‘I don’t want to be on that show.’ I personally don’t want to be on that show because they had a meeting with me. I was honest with them because I don’t like the negativity, I don’t like the drama like that. I’m just not that type of person,” he shared in the June 17 episode.
Alexa revealed that it was actually Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo who helped make up her mind about the opportunity.
“She just gave it to me straight. She was real. And she was like, ‘Listen, you know, with what you’re telling me in the way that you and Matt are, with your kids, it just doesn’t sound like it’s going to be for you. It just doesn’t.’”
Well, guess Bravo fans can rule out one Rhode Island couple from the prediction table. A release date for the series hasn’t been announced just yet. But, there’s only a matter of time before some casting teasers arrive.
