Season 12 of Below Deck is currently four episodes in. In all four of these showings, one particular crew member has struggled. Nobody got fired, but Bosun Caio Poltronieri remains in the hot seat after Below Deck Season 12 Episode 4.
In Episode 1, Caio Poltronieri failed to use his radio properly. Next, he left his guest’s luggage at the pier. Sadly, for the next handful of episodes, Caio continued to fail with his communications. Cue Captain Kerry calling this bosun to his wheelhouse for a fix-it or leave-styled chat.
Wanting to help this kind but in-over-his-head man out, Captain Kerry offered to take over a nighttime excursion for Caio in Episode 4, as he knew that Caio could greatly benefit from this break. But the following day, Caio failed once again on the radios, which frustrated certain crew members and the Captain alike.
Caio is now feeling the heat, but it also feels like he does not understand that he is the main problem within his team, as Caio is not accepting the responsibilities for his failures as he should. He is beyond knowledgeable, as his team has admitted. However, his lack of clear schedules and constant missteps with his communications are getting old. And these constantly-seen missteps mean that he could face a firing sooner rather than later in this series.
