Jax Taylor’s messy spiral has played out in real time on The Valley. Season 2 shows the former Vanderpump Rules star unravel before, during, and after rehab. Now, sources say he broke key rules while in treatment.
Viewers watched him rage-text his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, while supposedly getting clean. He also failed to pay their mortgage and planted surveillance devices around their home. If the staff had been aware of Jax’s behavior, he could’ve been kicked out.

Jax reportedly broke two major rules while receiving treatment for cocaine addiction and mental health issues: harassment and threats.
The center didn’t confirm anything directly about Jax. However, an addiction expert at Psyclarity in Los Angeles told The U.S. Sun, “We do not condone harassment of any kind, and we certainly do not encourage patients to partake in unhealthy habits that hinder the recovery process.”
They added, “If a patient is making threats or derogatory comments about others, that does not align with our values at the center, and we would have stepped in if we were aware of it and it needed our attention.”
Jax’s behavior shown on The Valley reflected those issues. He sent “rage texts,” threatened Brittany with people “stopping by,” and refused to pay bills.
Brittany lived in their $2 million home with their son Cruz while Jax made those threats and withheld money.
They continued, “If someone was warned they are not to threaten or harass others, even if just via the telephone, and they did not comply, that could be grounds to be kicked out of the facility, yes.”
As for Jax using his phone during rehab, the expert explained, “We are not able to forcibly remove someone’s cell phone from them, they need to be willing to give it up themselves. Following the 4-7 day blockout period, we introduce phones with limited access.”
Despite online backlash, Bravo reportedly hasn’t discussed firing him yet. Over 12,000 people have signed a Change.org petition demanding Jax’s removal.
Bravo remains silent, for now.
