It was a shock to learn that Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover broke up. After multiple years together, with countless adorable on-screen scenes sharing their romance journey, they split in November 2024. The biggest bombshell regarding their break up dropped during the Summer House Season 9 finale.
Paige was explaining to co-stars Lindsay Hubbard and Amanda Batula that Craig supposedly got her an engagement ring. According to her, it was right after they broke up that he claimed that he had a ring. Not only that, but he supposedly had been holding on to it for a year.
She doesn’t believe that it existed in the first place, as she’d never seen it or heard about it until they were through. Now, a month after the finale aired, her ex is bringing out the receipts.
The Craig Conover engagement ring saga rolls on
Craig was a recent guest on The Toast podcast. It was during the segment that he finally shared his side of the story in the ring rumor.
“It was such a good experience [shopping] for the ring. [Paige] had told me, she was like, ‘It’s time.’ I was happy and we were having a great couple of months. Really, the whole relationship was great until it wasn’t,” he explained in the June 25 episode.
The Southern Charm star further corroborated his story by sharing a photo of the ring on his phone to host Jackie Oshry. She then shared the picture with the camera, revealing that it appeared to be snapped in Charleston where Craig resides.
That might be the only proof he had of its existence, though, since he’s returned it to the jeweler.
“Returning an engagement ring isn’t something you plan on doing. It’s funny because when I bought it, the jeweler said, ‘Hey, in case anything happens, I’ll work with you [to return it].’ … When I brought it back, I felt weird but it wasn’t weird.”
