Danny Booko has had one heck of a season on The Valley. To be frank, the voice-over actor can’t catch a break when it comes to his so-called friends accusing him of overindulging. What we’re watching isn’t just a petty feud with Jax Taylor. It’s a power struggle between two very different kinds of men: one clinging to his old tricks, and one quietly redefining what strength looks like on Bravo. The Valley is heating up, and this clash is far from over. But if Jax thinks he’s going to steamroll Danny like he did half the Vanderpump Rules cast? He’s got another thing coming because Danny isn’t playing by Jax’s rules, and that might be the real threat.

Did Jax really threaten Danny on The Valley?

Let’s not sugarcoat it, The Valley is getting messier by the minute, and Jax is once again at the center of it all. In the most recent episode, fans were left clutching their drinks after a confrontation between Jax and Danny took a surprisingly aggressive turn.

While partaking in a healing circle Jax and Jason Caperna once again accused Danny of hiding his drinking. The father of four spoke out about the issues with Variety. “I heard Jax was talking to people to bring it back up for the show,” Danny shared.

He noted that he went right to the source, aka Jax, but after calling Jax to ask him about the claim, “Jax blew up. He was like, ‘You guys got off easy in the first season, and the second season I’m coming after you and putting a target on your back! You and Nia are fake!’”

For Danny it was hard to comprehend why his group of friends were trying to plot against him. He noted, “I’m trying to have your back, and all you’re doing is stabbing mine.” Now, to be fair, Jax has a long history of using intimidation as a conversation style. But the conversation was enough to make Danny feel extremely uncomfortable. And viewers noticed.

Why would Jax Taylor want to take Danny Booko down?

In the interview, Danny noted, “It was a hard summer,” mainly due to the actions of Janet Caperna and Jason. And honestly, Jax doesn’t like to share the spotlight. So why would the OG want to take a friend down? Well, Danny has been gaining traction, both with viewers and within the group. That’s a threat to Jax’s self-proclaimed alpha status, and history tells us that Jax doesn’t handle competition well.

Danny has something Jax isn’t used to dealing with: calm confidence. He’s not trying to be messy, he’s not chasing screen time, and yet he’s still becoming a fan favorite. That’s got to sting for someone like Jax, who’s spent over a decade making chaos his currency.

Additionally, Danny has been asking genuine questions. The kind that Jax doesn’t want to answer. From calling out Jax’s inconsistencies to standing his ground during group discussions, Danny’s presence is shaking things up.

So, why does Jax want to take him down? Simple: control. Jax doesn’t like feeling outshone, and when someone challenges his authority or worse, his image, he goes into defense mode. And by defense, we mean full Bravo villain form.

Danny Booko is taking a stand

During the same interview, Danny clapped back at the accusations swirling around him. He told the outlet, “Lies — just malicious, vindictive behavior from some people that I really cared about, and thought were my friends.” Sadly, it feels like Danny is getting a front row lesson to how some people change themselves for reality TV.

Danny stated. “Whether they’re doing it for the show or a storyline or attention or whatever, it’s just like: You don’t do that. This is real life.” But Danny and Nia Booko will not be bullied out of their roles. When asked if the couple would return, he stated, “I just hate feeling things left unsettled.”

Danny handled Jax’s aggressive energy with poise, refusing to escalate the situation but also refusing to shrink. He’s made it clear that he’s not going to be bullied into silence, which is exactly what Jax was hoping for. Instead, Danny calmly called out the behavior for what it was: unnecessary and performative.

The Valley fans are already rallying behind Danny, praising him for his maturity and emotional intelligence. He’s proving that you don’t have to yell to be heard and that standing up to Jax doesn’t have to mean stooping to his level.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
