We’re still mourning the loss of what could have been The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Morocco. The season was scrapped after a controversial interaction between Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville led to lawsuits, sexual assault allegations, and tarnished reputations. Meanwhile, Bravo fans have been foaming at the mouth, eager that a miracle could happen and we’d finally see the highly anticipated series.
Caroline filed a lawsuit against Bravo, Peacock, NBCUniversal, and Shed Media, claiming that the producers of RHUGT caused a “traumatic” incident. It’s all playing out in court right now, and the court records have unearthed major details about the status of the show.
Could RHUGT: Morocco finally be aired?
Shout out to The Bravo Docket, who did a deep dive into Caroline’s case and Bravo’s motion to dismiss it. They pointed out some key testimony from Lisa Shannon, an executive producer of The Real Housewives. She told the courts that Shed Media delivered its seven episodes of RHUGT: Morocco to the network in October 2023.
The episodes were edited and ready for broadcast. According to the court docs, the drama started in Episode 3. The cameras captured Caroline’s reaction to what happened, in addition to confessionals.
The court docs explained, “The crux of The Real Housewives franchise is the women’s relationships with each other, so footage depicting the incident at issue in the complaint, Manzo’s perceptions of it, the other cast members’ perceptions of it, and the aeftmrath of it, are necessarily depicted in several episodes.”
The court documents went on to explain how the drama between Caroline and Brandi played out over a four-episode arc. In Episode 4, viewers would have seen the incident and the immediate aftermath. Episodes 5 and 6 would have shown Caroline’s conversations with the rest of the cast.
With only seven episodes, it’s clear that the Caroline and Brandi drama overshadowed the entire trip to Morocco. Either way, these latest updates on the case have fans hopeful that we could see these episodes someday. After all, the episodes are already finished. Plus, plenty of the show’s other cast members want to see it released.
For now, RHUGT: Morocco remains on hold. It’s basically lost media. However, things could change down the line if Bravo succeeds in having Caroline’s lawsuit dismissed. We’re all patiently waiting.
