A Dancing with the Stars Season 34 cast announcement is imminent. They’ve already confirmed four of the celebrities competing, and now, we’re just waiting on the rest. In the meantime, we’ve got the tea on some of the names that have been approached for the upcoming season. There’s a Twilight heartthrob who we haven’t seen in years, a Traitors breakout star, and a girl who just got her parents out of federal prison.
Could Taylor Lautner, Dylan Efron, and Savannah Chrisley join Dancing with the Stars?
The cast members already confirmed for Season 34 of DWTS include Robert Irwin and an influencer named Alix Earle. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck were announced as competitors during the reunion episode of their show. That leaves around 8 or 10 open spots for this year’s cast.
According to a report from The Sun, Taylor Lautner is one of the celebrities they’re chasing after the hardest. Twilight’s werewolf that had us all screaming “Team Jacob” might be having us scream “Team Taylor” when DWTS rolls around this fall.
The insider said that Taylor is the “full package” because he’s wholesome, athletic, and easy on the eyes. They also said that his wife, Tay, is in talks for the season. Yes, Taylor married a girl named Taylor…
While Tay doesn’t quite have the same name recognition as her husband, they do host a podcast together. She has over a million Instagram followers, and the insider said that it’s been her “dream” to go on the show. Her husband might be her only way in.
“It’s been her dream to do the show for years, so Taylor is more so agreeing to go along with it to help make Tay’s dream come true,” the source alleged.
Another name the producers are considering is Savannah Chrisley, and unfortunately, this would make a lot of sense. From Sean Spicer to Ana Delvey, DWTS producers always get at least one controversial public figure in the cast. Savannah fits that mold perfectly, after getting her parents freed from prison through her worship of all things presidential.
Just like in Season 33, the producers are also eyeing the latest edition of The Traitors for some casting inspiration. Last year, Phaedra Parks went from The Traitors to the dancefloor. According to the Sun’s insider, Dylan Efron might be following in her footsteps. Allegedly, they wanted him to compete alongside his buddy, Boston Rob Mariano.
“They would’ve loved to have both him and Dylan Efron on the season, but Rob declined. DWTS isn’t his style, and he has his own projects in the works he is focusing on,” the insider claimed.
Supposedly, Dylan is still in the running because the big focus for the casting this year is to attract a younger audience. Thus, they’re aiming for reality stars and influencers. Stay tuned for the official cast announcement to see who makes the cut.
