Lisa Vanderpump’s Future Las Vegas Hotel Spot Catches on Fire

On July 4, Lisa Vanderpump’s future Las Vegas hotel broke out in flames. Fortunately, the blaze was “quickly extinguished” and no injuries were reported. There was no explanation for the cause of the fire.

Apparently, the fire started in the parking lot of The Cromwell, the boutique hotel currently undergoing renovations to become The Vanderpump Hotel. Some of the guest rooms were “briefly evacuated” out of “an abundance of caution,” the hotel’s PR Director shared. But hotel operations quickly returned to business as usual.

“At this time, all operations have returned to normal,” a PR statement claimed. “We would like to thank the Clark County Fire Department for its swift response.”

Long before the fire broke out, Lisa announced her plan to turn The Cromwell into the Vanderpump Hotel in March 2025. “I am thrilled to once again be partnering with Caesars Entertainment,” she said at the time.

While Lisa and her husband Ken Todd have opened over 30 restaurants over the years, this will be their first hotel. Lisa also oversees her Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, and WOLF by Vanderpump at Harveys Lake Tahoe.

‘What an extraordinary opportunity to develop this iconic location into something unique, playful and upscale,” Lisa said in her statement. “We can’t wait to breathe new life into this property and make it something truly magical.”

Meanwhile, renovation on The Cromwell won’t begin until early 2026, starting with a redesign of the 188 guest rooms and suites. Also getting a refresh are the hotel reception and front desk areas. A brand new lounge is also in the plans. Set to remain open during the renovations, construction should be complete in 2026.

Though at one time Lisa had several eateries in West Hollywood, she’s now down to just two: SUR and TomTom. For eleven seasons, the staff of her SUR Restaurant and Lounge starred in Vanderpump Rules. The show followed the wait staff and bartenders through their sometimes messy personal lives.

In November 2024, Bravo announced the show would be entirely recast for Season 12 – except for Lisa, of course. As an executive producer, she is, after all, the one making the rules.

All episodes of Vanderpump Rules are streaming on Hulu in the US and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
