The Real Housewives of Orange County is returning to our televisions this week. Before the premiere, Gina Kirschenheiter prepared RHOC fans for a few possibly disturbing things ahead in Season 19.
“I know that you guys are not going to be happy about some things,” she warned. “I feel like I should take the opportunity to clear it out now, so that you all understand what’s going on there.” Oh, dear. It sounds rather dire.
In an effort to avoid any “jump scares,” Gina promised to just “lay it all out there.”
RHOC’s Gina knows fans won’t “be happy about a few things”
Firstly, Gina apologized for her Herschel bag. “This backpack is my whole life,” she explained. “You are going to see this Herschel bag ad nauseum.”
Though viewers may get tired of seeing the ever present mini backpack, Gina just “doesn’t have time” to change her bag. Furthermore, she just doesn’t care. She loves her Herschel, calling it “the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Secondly, she apologized for her show confessional look, admitting there was “a lack of effort there.”
“It’s a very pretty dress, my jewelry is beautiful,” she adds. “I did my own hair and makeup … I’m doing the best I can, guys.”
Lastly, “because I’ve also been happy and work-focused, I have gained weight,” she shared. Uh, oh. The “Love Chub” is back. Perhaps this means she and boyfriend Travis Mullen have worked things out with his ex?
Meanwhile, Gina has struggled, with “being able to fit in my own pants.” We get it, girl. We’ve all been there.
“There are multiple scenes,” she cautioned, “where I am simply wearing a hoodie or a sweat suit … That’s just who I am.”
Subsequently, the busy working mom has “turned it around” and is heading back down again.
“That’s just life, right?” she continued. “I’m sorry that I’m just a normal-ass person, okay?”
Finally, heaving a sigh of relief, Gina admitted feeling better getting all this off her chest. But she left us with a warning, “We know you’re not going to get on me [for everything] … Love you!”
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 premieres on July 10 on Bravo in the US, streaming on Peacock the next day. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
