Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise is guaranteed to be extra messy. Exes Susie Evans and Justin Glaze are both in the cast, which left everyone else shocked. Kudos to whoever had that brilliant idea.
The two Bachelor Nation stars went public with a romance in January 2024 following months of speculation. They started as friends before their relationship got more serious. However, it didn’t even last a full year. By the Summer of 2024, they had already called it quits. What happened?
Why did Bachelor in Paradise stars Susie and Justin break up?
Susie Evans and Justin Glaze went public with their breakup in August 2024, but never gave any specific reasons as to why they decided to split.
Plenty of people have tried to get Justin and Susie to talk about their split, but they’ve been strangely tight-lipped about details. During an episode of the Almost Famous podcast, Justin confirmed that they were no longer together, but he claimed they were still “in communication” and “on good terms.”
“I’m very fortunate to have someone like Susie in my life. We are always on the same page about our relationship,” Justin said. “So when this first happened, we decided like, ‘We’re not gonna make some joint post. We’re going to figure this out together, we’re going to keep it private, I’m sure people will catch on eventually, and when we’re ready to talk about it, that’s what we’ll do. I’m just very fortunate to be at the place we are at right now.”
Meanwhile, Susie kept the story just as vague. In an interview with People, she called their dynamic “complicated.” Just like Justin, she never shared any specific reason for their breakup.
“[We] started out as friends, so what’s most important for us was that we just respect each other, love each other through whatever our relationship became, which is something we decided even before we ever dated was friendship first,” Susie explained.
She continued, “We think so highly of each other, we respect each other. So that is the forefront of everything.”
The lack of details about their breakup is intriguing, but we have a feeling we’re going to learn a whole lot more about their relationship throughout Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. Who knows — maybe they’ll reignite their flame?
