The Valley Cast Given No Warning About Jax Taylor’s Departure — ’This Is a Huge Surprise’

The news that Jax Taylor has left the Bravo building has been cause for celebration amongst many fans. For over ten years, Jax has been able to run a muck with his toxic masculinity. He’s cheated, lied, gaslit, and manipulated more people than we can count. But now his number his up and he is officially out. And while he says he is leaving to better himself (we say axed), the rest of The Valley crew are taken aback by his departure. Apparently, Jax pulled an Irish Exit. Here’s what we know.

Jax Taylor’s exit from The Valley ahead of Season 3 absolutely blindsided the cast

Jax loves to move in mysterious ways. And apparently his long goodbye is no exception. According to People, the “cast was absolutely blindsided by this news.” The source noted, “They were not given any advance notifications about his exit.” And apparently, “Most of the cast were notified that filming was going to begin at the end of the summer, and they expected Jax would be a part of the new season because — even as lately as yesterday — he hadn’t said otherwise. This is a huge surprise.” Bravo has yet to officially comment on Jax’s departure from The Valley. But I’m sure Andy Cohen has a thought or two on the matter.

In his statement, Jax shared, “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley.” Jax added, “Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.” But fans are questioning the timing since last night’s all-new episode showed Jax at an all-time low. He not only tried to play the good guy, but he also attempted to influence Brittany Cartwright’s decision to divorce him. Jax was due for a dismissal, and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
