Yesterday, we reported on how Roy had sadly passed away. He passed from the comforts of his home in Coral Gables. Allegedly, Roy, aged 80, had been ill for a while. Yet, his specific cause of death remains unclear at this time.
During his career, Roy worked as a prominent criminal defense attorney. He has defended many high-profile individuals, including Jeffrey. As we all know, an investigation was conducted in 2006, stating that Jeffrey was involved in multiple sex crimes involving dozens of underage girls. So, he secured the services of Roy to help receive the best deal possible at his trial.
Rather than encountering a federal indictment, Roy helped negotiate a non-prosecution agreement with his federal prosecutors in 2007. To secure this deal, Jeffrey had to plead guilty to state charges of soliciting prostitution and soliciting prostitution with a minor. He received a 13-month jail sentence. Then, Jeffrey must register as a sex offender.
In July 2019, Jeffrey entered jail again on federal charges of sex trafficking minors. He spent 36 days in federal detention before his mysterious death in his cell. During this period, Roy remained a part of his team.
